this is an interesting one, as there are some pros and cons for the steigenberger. I booked a 4 night stay and called to arrange an extra night for a... day earlier, which I was assured that it was all arranged on the phone. On arrival, reception was not aware, but was helpful and organised a room. Oppoesed to our booking confirmation, we only had a blocked view of the mountain, so we had to arrange a change of the room the day after. The hotel is dated in certain areas, i.e. rooms, breakfast restaurant, doorways etc, the sauna, pool areas however are very modern and great. During our stay, most of the team were very helpful, but sometimes surprisingly unaware of what service would be expected. Instead of organising a missing room service menue for our room, I was sent around the hotel to organise a restaurant menu myself. Go figure..., I thought and trodded off. Other unexpected hiccups were that the room service left our room door open, essentials weren't refilled etc. All normal standards you'd expect from a brand like the Steigenberger.
