It's an OK hotel, nothing special and definitely not worth the amount of cash they ask for. They do have a pool which is a plus, but honestly the quality is lacking and it is overpriced. I was very impressed with the hotel. The grounds are colorful; the lobby, welcoming; and the room was a retreat. The staff is very helpful and friendly. "Stayed a little longer!"
I enjoyed my stay here! The staff was very friendly and helpful, and the location was within 3 blocks of my destination, so that was great. The hot tub was warm, and the elliptical smooth. "The Cajundome Hotel"
We booked this hotel as part of a road trip solely on the fact that we were going to an event at the Cajundome and this is the only place to stay within at least a mile radius that we could find. It seems the Cajundome is the primary reason for this hotel's existence and this is the first time I've stayed at a Hilton Garden Inn, and it's definitely […] of a bit of a lower quality than previous Hilton's I've stayed at, yet still good. The hotel is in good condition with good, clean, spacious rooms and very comfortable, big beds. The swimming room / fitness centre has no shower or changing room which seems a bit odd, and the sauna has been converted to a disabled toilet. I would highly recommend this hotel to my family & all my friends anytime! I was impressed by the cleanliness of the room where we stayed in. "Not bad for a hotel for the team to stay at"
Very conveniently located for a Rouse's with lots of prepared food (nicer than the one we have here in New Orleans), and several fast/quick restaurants (e.g., Raising Cane's), directly across from the CajunDome and next to the big hospital. Easy access to interstate off University Ave and to the soccer fields (Moore Park) off University on the other […] side of I-10. Indoor pool, nice big lobby with conference table on one side, overpriced mediocre food on the other, but if you buy a bottle of wine for $25, they will let the team sit at the tables and eat dinner brought in. "Always a pleasant stay."
We have only one complaint. We left the room at 9.30 am. on Saturday, returning at 3pm, there had been no maid service. Both of us are seniors and decided to take a nap before the evening events. The maid arrived at 4 pm, and offered to clean and provide new towels, we declined. Having used this hotel before, we found this unusual. "A not-so-restful stay."
The bed was uncomfortable and the number comfort system broken. The television repeatedly went off and we had to unplug it to reset it. When we got the the room to go to bed, our sheets were disgusting. There were blood stains and various other debris left behind.
