I travel to Belize about once a month for work. I have stayed in other local hotels, all of which I would also recommend, but Robert's Grove is by far the best all around hotel in the area for the price. The hotel is in a very nice location and the grounds are beautiful. The town of Placentia is a cab or bike ride away. The hotel itself is a little tired but it is kept very clean as is the grounds. This was the most awesome place to stay. Very beautiful and clean. Service was always good to excellent. People very friendly. Some of the best food I have had anywhere. The pools are amazing. The beach is clean. They comb the sand every day. The pier is wonderful for a walk and there is a thatch-roof pagoda with a bar out in the water where you can […] fish or do yoga in the morning. The water is crystal clear. You can see all kinds of fish. You can watch the sunrise every morning and the sunset every evening if you just cross the road. You can bike into town (the resort gives free bikes) and get anything you want, and meet the local people (just wear a lot of sunscreen and take some money with you to buy the jewelry made by the local girls). There are some good restaurants and shops in town. There are two other restaurants in close proximity to the resort. Habaneros had Mariachi players and Sweet Mama's had African drumming. The food is excellent, if simple. Flora and fauna everywhere. Don't miss the tours! They have the most excellent tour guides. We went snorkeling and saw ruins and went cave swimming. The guides are very knowledgable and kind. We asked for a quiet room at the resort and they gave us a second-floor room on the back with a balcony. In the morning you can take a walk before sunrise and hear the birds. There are parrots in the trees and owls hooting every morning. What a paradise. It is the most peaceful place I have ever been. Fabulous setting - bamboo stands and palm trees; beach,; three swimming pools, gorgeous long dock into the water. Low-rise buildings, well-kept pathways. Green, airy surroundings. Very much a "grove" - a grouping of beautiful trees filled with light.

we were so close to the water....every room seemed to have a great view of the ocean...we had a wonderful deck with hammock that was so relaxing. the restaurant was great and we ate at the hotel for every meal except one great meal across the street at the marina (mexican restaurant overlooking the harbour). we could do everything from the hotel..complimentary […] bikes and kayaks...we signed up for excursions from the hotel front desk...could have signed up for tours from the village vendors, but the convenience outweighed any cost savings. would def stay there again..only critic was that the mattress on bed was not very comfortable. 詳情

Roberts Grove was peaceful and tranquil with fantastic views of the sunrise and sunsets. The food was fabulous but pricey and the staff made the experience very memorable. We will definately be returning to Roberts Grove.

Great full service hotel. Rooms are outstanding. We stayed in a 1bed room suite. Loved the hammock in each room. Nice continental breakfast every morning. Would stay again. Downsides: a little far from town, food on site wasn't great.

We were picked up promptly at the Placencia airport & driven the short distance - 5 mins. - to the resort. Rafael was very pleasant - he dropped us at the entrance & took our bags to our room. Check-in was simple & efficient. The room - upon first impression - was spectacular! There was an extra bedroom with bunkbeds. The bathroom was great. We ate the first night in the resort restaurant; had the appetizer & dinner specials. The food & staff were excellent. Prices in Belizean dollars were reasonable for a nice restaurant right on the ocean! Breakfast, which was included each morning, was a self-serve buffet of breads, fruit, juices, & coffee. We dived through Robert's Grove dive shop - my husband earned his PADI Open Water certification in 2 days/4 dives. Great dive shop & staff #Doren, Conrad, Stephen & Francisco, + captain William + cook Frank# - the only issues were that the dives were 1 1/2 hours from shore & we were not told that we would be charged for lunches that were only "fair". We stayed 3 nights; on the other nights for dinner & nightlife we headed into town & experienced "The Barefoot Bar" & "Wendys" - both are recommended. Taxi to town, according to Robert's Grove, cost $10 USD - we later found out from a cabi that it was $6. Placencia is great!! 詳情

Robert's Grove met our expectations for vacation with our 18 year old nephew to celebrate his senior year and impending graduation from HS. It was convenient to town and other activities. All staff were friendly and personable. Use of Hobi Cat sailboats, Kayaks, and Bicycles is included and a great amenity. We snorkeled just off the beach and found […] sand dollars and starfish, saw varied fish and some ray/skates. The tours we booked included snorkeling, fishing, zipline and cave tubing. Excellent accomodations and staff. Beautiful scenery. Use of boats and bicycles on premises was teriffic. Be sure to ask about renting their golf cart to drive and tour on your own throughout Placencia which is legal...day and night. Very reasonably priced. They did an excellent job organizing tours. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way. The resort was extremely comfortable to relax after a 3 day sailing trip. We wished we could have stayed here longer. Would definitely recommend this resort to other travelers. Staff were friendly and helpful. The resort dive shop offered great service.

RG is a five minute taxi ride north of the air strip. The resort also has two restaurants; one sea side and the other lagoon side. The food is ok, but really you are there for the scenery. You can use the Hobie cats, canoes, snorkel gear etc. for free. There is a Spa where you can get various massages. The rooms are spacious, air-conditioned, and with […] great water pressure. The beds are comfy and the people very friendly. They’ll give you a bike or call you a cab to go into the village (about 5 minutes south of the airstrip by car). There’s not much to see or do there really. The Barefoot bar serves very strong drinks, and has a great crowd. Tutti Fruti has gelato, but is closed during the slow season. This is great spot for families and to just relax in a hammock by the beach or on a lounge chair out on their dock and read or sunbathe. They have a ten foot beaches grainy beach Placencia, but it is better than Ambergis Caye. At night they have a lot of indirect up-lighting and the trees are decked-out with green rope lighting giving it a very serene feeling. They have Cable in the rooms on older small TVs which is taken from a stream from Detroit Michigan so you can get the local news from there (ha!). The landscaping and decoration is very well done, and there is something visually interesting to see wherever you look. We had booked 8 nights at the Roberts Grove and we loved the place! What was extremely important to us was that we were allowed to bring our little Mini Pinscher who was tolerated around even on the beach. It is clear that we always cleaned up after her. The rooms were really clean, and the condition is like the photos show at the hotels homepage. The air condition works great. The staff was great and always very helpful. We had a lot of fun with them. We loved the food at both their restaurants. It was excellent. The only downside here is that it is pretty upscale so you would not want to eat there every day. Beautiful. Staff is awesome. Food and drink great. Spa great for Belize. I had a nice manicure,pedicure, full body wrap and massage, and a facial. They will pick you up at airport and drop you off. The staff helped with connecting flights, had great recommendations for side trips and were genuinely friendly and helpful. The resort is well located, a short cab trip to downtown. The rooms were clean, comfortable and had great views. The Mexican buffet night had awesome food.

We cannot say enough good things about Robert's Grove. It is under new management and the resort is beautiful. The food is good and well priced. They offer a variety of included activities, as well as different themed buffets, as well as their two restaurant menus. Our room was perfect.
