Hôtel de Glace - 魁北克

Freedom to walk around the hotel and see all the rooms during the day. Blue curtain rooms are all the same - an ice bed and an ice table. These are the least expensive at $400 a night. We checked in around 4:00, had the tour and went to the session on how to sleep in your sleeping bag. We went into town to have dinner. Staff recommended a place and made reservations for us. They had an ice sculptor at night and we were invited to try a hand at our own ice sculpting. Had a drink in our ice glass in the ice bar, had a jacuzzi before bed (need to increase your body temperature) had a coffee in the lobby then went to bed. Felt a little claustrophobic in the sleeping bag and had to loosen the neck and hood part of the bag. Was quiet and we made it through the night. Did not feel cold at all. Slept with merino wool long johns and yoga pants and top. Kept my scarf and hat on all night but took my mitts off in the night. It was a unique experience - a bucket list must. 詳情

The breakfast was absolutely terrible!! But other than that, the staff and the Ice Hotel experience was outstanding. Must see!!

This is not your typical hotel, so it is hard to rate. We had a wonderful experience. The only problem that we had was the hot tubs were not hot enough and too crowded. The air temperature was only -14 F, so I'm sure that made it hard to maintain a hot water temp in the hot tub. Beautiful place and very surreal experience.

The hotel is amazing to see and visit. The staff are also knowledgeable and nice. The sleeping bag I got broke and I froze all night (did not sleep). Several other people also were cold early in the morning. The spas were warm at best (not hot). There are 3 women's bathroom stalls and 2 men's for the entire hotel (44 rooms of 2-6 people per room) which […] meant they were not very clean. The lockers where luggage is kept are not very big so it was hard to get into them without having to empty the entire thing each time. The showers, changing room and towels were very clean. Tea and coffee is served at will to warm up. I highly recommend visiting the hotel (it is spectacular!) but not staying overnight. 詳情

It's a fun experience to stay at the hotel, and to walk through it and see all the work that went into constructing it. Sleeping in the cold was not problem as I have gone winter camping the mountains of Colorado, and the sleeping bag they giver you is terrific — but if you want super-comfy conditions this is not the place for you. There's not a lot […] to do other than look around and hang out in the bar at the hotel itself, so plan for other activities while you are there. There's snowshoeing and cross-country skiing nearby, and Quebec City is just 15 minutes away. 詳情

Before you spend the night here, spend some time sleeping in a mummy sleeping bag. No matter what they tell you the room is cold. You are sleeping in a freezer. It is a real neat place to tell your friends that you lasted the night.
