The best hotel pools ever and the rooms were clean and modern with adequate utensils to be self sufficient. I would not recomend the ground floor apartments as my one had no privacy what so ever without the blinds fully drawn. Many others appeared to have a similar problem.

The Mantra PortSea was a great value. Although I had expected a bigger room, it was my fault for not looking into what was meant by a hotel-like room. But let's face it, you don't come to places like Port Douglas to spend it in your room. I spent most of my time walking the beach, the town or diving on the reef. The pool at the PortSea is very nice. […] There were various tiers, a small water slide for the kids and a swim up bar. It's only a short 5 minute walk out to the beach, but is quite a good distance (but still walkable) away from the main shopping and dining area of town. The continental breakfast is exactly what many would expect out of a continental breakfast. I opted for a swedish massage while visiting. The massage was excellent, but the ambiance was lacking compared to many other tropical spas I have visited. The room was basically a converted storage closet with two massage beds in it. All in all, I was quite pleased with my stay at the PortSea because of the value. If I were to return to the PortSea again, I'd make sure I stayed in a full sized "apartment" style room instead of the hotel style room. 詳情
