Book it - It just is that obvious - AMAZING Setting/Views - Great section of beach. Large hotel that makes check-in go slow but for these prices it is a win any way you look at it. Would stay here again for sure.

When taking a quick impromptu trip out of the country- and booking privately - sometimes you can make huge mistakes on picking a quality location. I was so impressed with everything this place had to offer. The facility was better than the photos and everyone was VERY helpful, friendly and quick to serve. I will DEFINATELY be back and can not wait!

I put I would not recommend this hotel, but honestly, it all depends on what you are looking for. If you want to be in the center of it all- noise, people, vendors, then this might be your perfect place. We came for a long weekend and expected to relax by the pool and on the beach. The pool played loud music during the day and was not quite as relaxing […] as we had hoped. The beach was even less inviting. We then went over to the area diamante and it was much closer to what we were looking for. Definitely nicer hotels, different clientele, and no loud music. We spent our last day and a half at a different hotel enjoying their spa, golf course and restaurants. We got a great deal on this hotel but just wasn't what we had hoped for. If you want to be within walking distance of everything and noise is no issue, this could very well be the perfect place for you. If you want to steer clear of the crowds and are looking for a bit more of an upscale experience, check out the hotels in the area diamante. The hotel staff was kind, the room was large, came outfitted with a mini kitchen (microwave, refrigerator, sink, toaster, blender and dishes/utensils). This is our 8th trip to Acapulco and our 2nd year staying at this hotel. While we are always looking for ways to save money, we have found that the prices on this top-notch hotel can be comparable to many of the less impressive hotels in Acapulco if you time your booking right. We spent most of the day going between the pool and the beach, ordering lunch each day pool-side that consisted of great fresh food. (The drinks are very over-priced however so after the first day, we decided to purchase our drinks at the OXXO convenience store across the street. We were able to drink those and other items such as chips and snacks at the pool without any problems.) The services are top-notch, as staff are friendly and there are staff on hand cleaning throughout all hours of the day and night. This year we decided to pay the slightly higher prices for the Sunday brunch and found it was absolutely fabulous! We also did lunch at the hotel restaurant the day we were checking out, and again found it to be great food at very reasonable prices. The staff at the welcome desk is extremely slow and also when you check out. The whole procedure about getting towels is annoying and on top of it the towels are dirty. You get the feeling that "foreign" tourists don´t get the same treatment as local tourists do. Went with wife and kids 2 and 4. Beds and pillows are amazing. Makes you don't want to get up in the morning. View is astonishing. I was in 8th floor and was amazed. I could see the whole bay.All rooms have a great view to the beach. Maybe lower floors not as great, but I was absolutely amazed at the view we got. The room lacks that last drop of luxury […] I've seen in other hotels. It's not bad, but could be improved. Building's exterior needs paint, makes it look old, but that doesn't affect your stay. Pool is great. No excess chlorine as in other pools. We only used the kids' pool. It's great for kids of all ages. It surrounds a lounge, so it has a lot of area with depths varying between 2ft and 5ft. So my 2 year old was safely playing on her side, while I enjoyed with my 4 year old on the 3ft depth. No kids admitted on the adult's pool. They have little cabins on the gold-brown beach. But you have to reserve them beforehand and pay 200 pesos for them. That's unfair. The hotel is not cheap. Salespeople on the beach can be annoying sometimes. They have a rope that delimits the hotel's property. Beyond that it's no-man's land. Local vendors invade the part of the beach nearest to the ocean, installing their own chairs and umbrellas, renting them for 30 pesos. Only tried one restaurant. Most amazing salmon rolls I've tasted. Worst "chef's recipe" fish I've had. Parking is 80 pesos per day. Free wireless internet was slooow. Overall, great experience for family. 詳情

Few of the employees speak English at the hotel. You are on your own! Food is adequate. Beds seem good. Hotel is very noisy at night with babies crying and doors slamming. This hotel experience seems to for Mexican families with small children.

Everything about this hotel rates highly except for extremely slow check in and check out procedure and the restaurants, which is hard to figure because the breakfast buffet is a very good one but eating other meals in the other restaurants is a total disappointment.

I stayed on 14th floor, amazing view of the beach. Pool areas were nice but could be open longer closing at 8pm seems early to me? Breakfast buffet was excellent quality and quanity. Staff was very friendly and accomodtiong. Must use Valet which cost 80 Pesos a day however car was well taken care of. I would stay here again.

Very nice view of Acapulco Bay. Hotel Emporio, Acapulco was very clean. The pool was the highlight of my visit. There is an area by one of the pools where they have canopy beds that are actually double-wide chaise lounges with thick matress like pads covered in white linens. I would definitely stay here again.

We arrived one day late, thanks to a missed flight, but this was not the hotel's fault. I sent message on to the hotel, informing them of our delay, and upon arriving, I found the Emporio to be a wonderful place to stay. We had upgraded to the included continental breakfast package, and . rented cabana service the days of our stay, and since we are […] early risers, a 7am sign-in to reserve was no problem. Our drinks and snacks on the beach wiped out the rental fee every day, and I appreciated the hotel security keeping the merchants outside the fence(unless invited in by us!!) I think the reports of danger in Acapulco may be perpetuated by the tour guides in and around Acapulco, who would have you use only their services! Of course you want to be practicing a reasonable amount of caution in any big city all around the world,,, you face the same risks most everywhere else. We were in the hotel lobby one afternoon when some people from outside the hotel(not guests), got into a quarrel with the bellmen,,and, oh boy, the hotel security people were on them very quickly and put an end to that! In all, I felt very secure as a visitor to this beautiful resort city, and the location is perfect, the best beach in Acapulco, and the hotel staff, like the people of Acapulco, are very friendly!! The day of arrival, we extended our stay. The beautiful ocean view was beyond words. All rooms are ocean view. Secure parking took away our worry and the surprise kitchen made our day. Shopping was just across the street so we filled our cooler and took it to the private beach cabana. Can't wait until next year...

I would not recommend the hotel to couples or travellers who are looking for a relaxing getaway. The pool area is very noisy and if you don´t be at the pool at 7 a,m, to reserve your sun chair then you won´t be able to be there for the rest of the day. The staff is almost useless in regards for this issue. This hotel was such a great find that we turned our overnight stay into three nights. Even though the hotel is older, it was in very good shape. The beach was wonderful and the service was excellent. Security was excellent and we had a wonderful time.

The service is a nightmare in high season, is almost impossible to get beach front chairs unless you reserve by waking at 7am!!! Our waiter by the pool, Alberto, was genuinely nice, respectful and friendly. The only thing negative I encountered was the fact that you had to wait a long time for a lawn chair. This is more of a 3 star hotel versus 4. In order to use of a small refrigerator in the room, you have to buy about $8 worth of drinks for $20. Overall this hotel was a nice place to stay. We enjoyed the friendly staff, expecially one of the managers Jose at the front desk and Marcos at the front bar. Mostly of the staff spoke broken English, which was a bit tough at times. They had a kid pool, but 2 other pools that were for adults. The view from the room was awesome. The hotel was on the main strip, but there was no noise that could be heard in our room. The hotel is great according to its price and location as it is right in the heart of the tourist district with an Amercan style mall that has an applebees and an American cinema in front of the hotel. Also next to the hotel are a gazillion small mexican restaurant that serve really good authentic mexican food. Another plus is that all the rooms are […] faced towards the ocean also a big plus. THe beach is pretty but hard to swim as the water are choppy even on calm days as you get wave after wave even swimming out a 100 yards. The hotel food is overpriced at around $18 a dish after ordering a dish with one drink and you can go across the street to a small taqueria for 10X the amnt and only $4. The biggest issue at the hotel that hotel that I and my wife had was the gym. I run 6 miles 4X weekly and my wife does about the same and the gym is a room with no windows but an A/C is set up in there but is perpetually tirned off. At the beginning of the workout it was 92F but when 2 people start running the temp goes up to 98F I have asked them 8 times during the week to turn the AC on in there bc I was soaking wet and they told me that they just wont do it bc its not their way. Also on a Friday they had a party outside and the music was so loud they made the walls vibrate and went to 3am and told us that is how it is, but it was only 1 out of 8 nights, thank god. 詳情

Took one hour,ten minutes to check in!!! Room was not as nice as looked in photos and floor was gruby.Ordered tea with room service and it was sent up in a paper cup!!! Definately not a four star hotel.

Excellent location with good eateries close by. Staff were courteous but did not speak English well. It was busy and there was always a long queue at reception and had to wait in line for 40 mins. to check in. It was a long time to queue despite their providing iced drinks only to those who were near the front of the line. Air conditioner malfunction […] was taken care of promptly and quickly by maintenance staff who replaced the thermostat. We were awakened by a 5.4 earthquake at about 6am on April 26. Staring from check in that was at 4pm (pretty late), they left people in line to check in for over 3 hours. i even have pictures. Altough I asked for an early check in, sicne my 75 years old mom with mobility issues was there with me, they refused to start to check people in before 4 pm. Once […] we finally made it to the room, it was dirty, with still trash from the previous guests. the linen in the bed was all stained/ dirty, while there were no towels in the bathroom. We had to wait a long time to have towels and be able to take a shower after being wating for hours to check in. People at the desk for check in were terrible. Only a few spoke english, while the other didn't .My check in process lasted over 30 minutes. They got my luggage at my arrival at the hotel (around 12 pm) and forgot to give me a ticket. so my luggage sat in the hall for hours. I had to keep an eye on it myself. The when I finally was ready to go back to the room, the luggage disappeared and they asked me for the receipt that I didn't have. Basically I had to convince them that those were my suitcases and of course, I had to tip them to have the luggage delivered to my room. They were NOT able to provide any helpful information on what to do in the area, thank God the taxi driver was helpful.
