Room heater would only operate on high (to hot!) Microwave did not work

Terrible service, terrible room, bed had broken springs, toilet and shower leaked all night, pillows were lumpy, "breakfast" started at 8:00 which is waaay too late for a ski town. I'll never stay here again. Ever.

This hotel is conveniently located. Price is nice. However, we had a non-smoking room which smelled of smoke of all kinds. It was hard to sleep and hard to breathe do to this matter. The 3 nights stay here made my Thanksgiving very special…. I would recommend it to others!

The hotel was ok. Its not a resort. It is in a great location in South Lake Tahoe. You can walk to Heavenly. My biggest complaint about the room was it smelled like stale smoke. Bottom line-if you are not planning on spending much time in the room, its a great deal.

It was a pleasant overnight stay. The motel staff was accommodating to our needs. The other guests were friendly also. We had a great time at the event we came to Tahoe for. Sundays coffee was not so hot, no sugar or creamer was available.

No a bad hotel.The price is right great location.Will be back.

NASTY!!! Even the towels were yellow!!!

That was the worst hotel I ever been to the smell alone was to much for me I went and got another room some where else I was scared to take my clothes off so i went down the street to another room. That room should not b on hotel.com and i always pick a good one take down them pictures and put some real ones up

My daughter and I stayed at this hotel last weekend and were very disappointed in the condition of the hotel. The pool was not open due to chemicals in the pool, which is strange because the weather was beautiful and hot and it was a weekend. The room smelled of smoke, not because of our room but the smell was coming from the room next to ours. The […] bathroom fan had no cover, we found it behind the toilet and it had been masking taped to the fan opening and kept falling off. The rates were fair for the off-season; the room was clean and comfortable; noise was never an issue (very low occupancy); mini-fridge and microwave allowed preparing meals in the room instead of eating every meal out.

A lot of things in room didn't work. Hot tub was warm , not full and had way too much chlorine. The check-in guy looked really rough, like he hadn't showered in days and lived under a bridge. Free breakfast was bad coffee and stale mini muffins.

you pay for what you get. i was at south lake tahoe only for snowboarding and needed a place to crash after boarding all day. the location was nice, close by to the casino. and the resort was down the street. the time i was there, there was a storm so parking there was prefect (right in front). the room was simple, two beds that looks decent, a bit […] dusty but thats about it. had cable tv with the weather channel was a plus. and the heater was surprisingly not too loud. overall. i was very pleased with this place. 詳情

They could clean the rooms before new guests occupy. Trash was in the dresser drawers, blow dryer didn't work--had to go out with wet hair at 20 degrees outside. Very steep drive in and out of lot. Icy mornings it is very dangerous.

Stayed here while on a snowboarding trip. Not a bad place...kinda old school rooms but did the trick. Might be worth the extra $ for a casino room?

The office smelled like urine. It was very hard to stand there and check in. The rooms were ok, nothing really nice, but ok. The spa tub seemed to be the highlight of the room. Appeared to be very big and fun..... except when we went to get in there was NO hot water! The clerk came to our room and stated to wait an hour because the 2 king rooms w/ spa […] tubs shared a broiler and the neighbors used all the hot water.........?! Not happy about that. It's not so cheap rundown motel. Rooms are small, dark and not very clean, breakfast is a joke, pool was not working. Nothing particularly annoying, but I would never recommend it to anybody.

Maid service at this place sucks. No body came to clean up the room after the first night. And when I asked the front desk for clean up, the young kid in 20s said that sorry but you will have to wait till tomorrow. so finally after paying the money me and my wife had to clean it. Only the older Gentleman at front desk was very courteous and respectful. […] that was the only positive part of this place. Stay here only if you need to save money. Very low budget but is located close to casinos and many food locations.

price was good, location was good...rooms need some repairs

I was expecting a lot less, and was surprised to find it so clean. Staff was extremely efficient and friendly, checking and checking out took less than 2 min (that's total time for both). It's not the MGM Grand, but for what we needed, more than adequate.

I would recommend this hotel to people who do not plan on staying in their room except to sleep and shower. The location is great but the hotel itself isn't fantastic. The best thing about The Vagabond Inn was it's location, close to the lakes, casinos and food. The worst thing about the hotel was that it was old and not too clean. Stayed here during the entire week of New Years and it was great for the value! Less than a mile to all the casinos at Stateline. Staff was delightful, got to know them during my stay....one of the gentlemen at the front desk was kind enough to give me a ride to the Mont Bleu Casino on New Years Eve because cabs were impossible to get. Beds are horrible,rooms is just rundown. 2 stars? Should be 1 I asked the front desk upon check in if there was a coffee maker and internet in room He thought about it for a second then said yes, and there wasn't.

the hotel is well placed but right on the main street / the breakfast is coffee + small muffins... The room was clean but that's it Value for money

I have stayed in other hotels before and the price of this particular hotel is not comparable to others of the same condition and rating. I think it is 2 stars as it stats however, the pricing should be lower.

The breakfast was non-exisitant. A mini muffin and glass of OJ doesn't make a breakfast. Shower temperature kept changing but water pressure was good. Toilet needed some work and the fan was very loud. The pool was clean and perfect temperature.

unless you like sheets that don't cover the matress, internet that doesn't work, garbage bags in the hallway,torn carpet in the stairway,hallway (and dirty) a staff that leaves early so you don't get your room cleaned, don't stay here. The hotel was in a great location close enough to Harveys Outdoor Arena. The hotel room was comfortable and clean except for the bathroom window curtain, which looked like it may of been water stains or just dirt and the bathroom window should be replaced it'd old and you can't see through it. Would recommend the hotel to those who don't like to spend all day in room. Everything is close by and no need for the car...

The only thing going for this hotel is its location. The shower stalls were dirty, the safety catch on the door was broken (made out of cheap pot metal--hollow!) and the place was generally run-down. Close to main road so a little noisy
