We stayed for 4 nights during a move. It was supposed to be a treat. It was a complete disappointment. The room was ok a few stains on the carpet, worn sofa, and it had a funny smell. We were up and out early the next morning for day two of the move. We returned late to the hotel this time when we entered our room it smelt like someone had just had […] a cigarette in the room. I called the front desk and they said they would investigate. After half an hour they finally said they could find no evidence of anyone smoking but would change us to another room. It was now 11 so we decided to open the window and sleep. The next morning while having breakfast in our room it started smelling strongly of smoke, it was coming under the connecting door from the room next door. I went down to the front desk and got someone to come up. When we got off the elevator she saw the do not disturb sign on the neighboring room and said she could not knock on their door. That sign had been on the door the entire time. She did come in our room and agree that they were clearly smoking next door and that our room stank despite the open window. They said they would send someone up to help move us and with the new keys. We waited over half an hour and then went down to the desk. He said oh sorry we have been busy with check outs!!! No one ever apologised they just kept saying this was a no smoking hotel so it wasn't their fault. Our stay was ruined we had to pack and move rooms and the hotel did nothing. 詳情

It was a wonderful stay. We were there for our daughter's wedding and everything was beautiful. The staff were soooo helpful. It was a wonderful day & night!

Only minor complaint is that the climate control left the room too warm for our comfort, and we could not get it to the temperature we wanted.

Great hotel for a stay in Toronto. Unfortunately there is a huge high rise condo going in right across the street, in the former location of one of the hotel's parking lots, that detracts a bit from the ambience outside. But still a wonderful hotel, and beautifully decorated for Christmas.

The room and service were excellent. Hotel was built in stages so is difficult to navigate especially when coming back in the evening when most doors are locked. Continental Breakfast was acceptable but not replenished so get there early. Also, the fireplace is electric so not as romantic as it sounds, however the hotel is like a refuge in the country […] even though you are one block to a subway stop so have access to most of toronto attractions. Could be fabulous. However bathtubs in both rooms need to be chalked. Why neglect such an easy fix? Cheap? Inefficient? Disorganized? I don't understand. Also very noisy. Could here everything going on in halls. Not cool for the huge price tag.

I feel that the hotel does not warrant the high cost that they are asking for a room. It is nothing special. The best part of the stay was the breakfast each morning. I will not be back to this hotel.

We had an excellent stay and were pleasantly surprised by the very high standards of comfort and cleanliness. the staff were in the main very businesslike though some were more friendly than others. The Food was excellent although a bit pricey when compared with the UK (8 Dollars for a cup of Tea or coffee £5.20) and Bottled or Draft beer was 10 Dollars = £6.50 and sandwiches around 19 Dollars = £12.00 +). We highly recommend this as a great place to stay, our only critisism is their food and drink pricing and the headboard gave no support if you want to sit up and read or watch tv. 詳情

We held our wedding there, and everything went perfectly. Our event captain ensured everything went according to plan. The reverend working with the Old Mill had everyone engaged in the ceremony, always had the audience smiling or laughing. There are numerous wonderful spots for photos, pointed out to us by our captain, who led our guests to the reception […] room while the photos were taken. Dinner was delicious, and elegantly plated. Not a glass went empty without staff appearing to ask what we would like. The staff were quick, efficient and always there when you needed them without being in the way. Enjoyed our stay very much, however it was expensive. Very convenient to subway station. Excellent food in restaurant but I feel it was also very expensive.

Truly, there is nothing to improve on at The Old Mill. I don't know if a pool would be possible, but something to think about!

We loved the room the moment we stepped in. The only thing is we heard a compressor type noise until around 1:30 am and that resumed just before 8:00 am. Simply Superb. 400m to the subway station from the hotel, and a half an hour train journey to the city centre. Great location with a riverside trail and nice surroundings. Would definitely stay again.

The first night of our stay was on a Saturday and we discovered that the hotel is a big destination for weddings & receptions. The sound from the wedding reception was quite loud. We also had problems with sound from flushing toilets in other rooms. The hotel staff graciously & happily agreed to our request to move from a 3rd floor room to a 5th (top) […] floor room for the last 2 nights. This room was much quieter. Breakfast buffet in the morning was very nice and included sliced meat, cheese and smoked salmon in addition to the normal cereals, breads & sweet treats. Absolutely loved the location. It provided the best of all worlds: 1. Easy access by car or subway #or 1 mile walk# to lovely neighborhood of Kingsway with many restaurants, bars & stores. We had dinner at Momiji Sushi Bar & at Merlot during our stay. The pasta dish that I ordered at Merlot was the best I've ever had. 2. Easy access to Old Mill subway station on Bloor line. The station is a 2 block walk from the hotel property and it takes about 30 minutes to get to downtown Toronto. 3. Out the door access to the Humber River Shared Path and park system. The park is beautiful and contains multiple trails for walking, bike riding, in-line skating, etc. You can walk all the way to Lake Ontario #or rent bikes at the hotel#. When you compare prices with downtown hotels, be sure to consider that parking & breakfast is included in the rates at The Old Mill. Also note that this is not an adults only hotel. 詳情

We were here just for a night's layover in Toronto to break up an enormous day of travel and all I can say is that we made the correct decision in choosing this hotel. The room had everything that we could have possibly needed, was spotless and very accommodating. The bathroom was sizeable and came with both a jacuzzi bath and a separate shower. Great choice and for once the ratings were understated. The service was really fantastic from the second we arrived at the front desk, to drinks at the quaint lobby pub and then the yummy restaurant. The free parking was nice but the walk across the street from the parking lot in the rain wasn't so nice. Room was nicely furnished, garden tub, separate […] shower, and clean as mom's house. Incredible luxury for the price, great breakfast included, next to wooded park where kayaks and bicicles can be rented. Metro station is close and connects to all must see spots, but it is a long ride. Great place to get away from it all, beautiful grounds. I would go back!

A superb hotel, well managed with staff really dedicated to making the hotel guests feel well. The rooms are very nice and well appointed. The dining room is to dream about, and the food (summerlicious) was delicious. The staff in the dining room were pleasant, courteous and helpful. Overall, this is a place to go back again and again.

We went to Toronto for a memorial service for a close friend. The hotel was near the church and provided a wonderful refuge at a time when we were both feeling very sad. The room was beautifully decorated, the staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant was very nice.

This hotel was more suitable for weddings, conferences etc than a couple on holiday to see the sites. It was too far out of town although there was a metro station close by and there are plenty of restaurants close to the next station up the line. The breakfast was lovely however on a Friday and Saturday night and there is a surcharge to go to the main […] restaurant on these nights as they have a dine and dance and not everyone wants to dance after site-seeing all day. The bar is very nice and they have wonderful jazz entertainment on the Friday & Saturday but you have to order food otherwise there is a surcharge. Reasonable price compared with inner city hotels with only a $3 short train ride to toronto city. Nice surrounding area with walks along river. Good food, especially the sunday night buffet. Very nice bathroom with great shower, although the whirlpool bath was a little noisy with the whirlpool setting turned on which put us off using it a little. The […] only thing I can really fault were the few places to hang things up and store empty luggage: no coat hooks, only a small wardrobe with a couple of coat hangers and only one hook in the bathroom for towels with no where else to hang them.
