Not very Happy, We stayed for 1 night, ( Saturday) to be rudely awakened by vacuum cleaning going on right out side our door and along the skirting board and down the stairs opposite our room at 8 am Sunday morning, followed by rather loud greetings of the domestic staff. "Boston Manor Mittelmaß"
Das Boston Manor Hotel - Guesthouse ist eher schlecht als recht. Das komplett indische Hotelpersonal spricht bis auf einen Rezeptionisten nur dürftiges Englisch. In den Zimmern liegt Rauchduft (!), obwohl das Hotel tatsächlich ein Nichtraucherhotel ist (???). Die Sauberkeit und Freundlichkeit des Personals ist ok. Besonders geeignet ist dieses Hotel […] für Studenten, Schüler und Reisende mit kleinerem Geldbeutel. Durch die gute U-Bahn und Busanbindung ist die 25 Minuten Strecke in die Innenstadt leicht zu ertragen und mit der Oyster-Card auch nicht all zu teuer (einfache Strecke 1,40 Pfund)! Das Hotel ist in einem sehr desolaten Zustand und es ist unbegreiflich, wie es zu drei Sternen gelangen konnte. Wir haben schon sehr viele England und London Aufenthalte gehabe, auch in Hostels und ein Sterne Häusern. Davon war keines in solch einem schlechten Zustand. Schimmelbefall in bad und Zimmer. benutze Bettwäsche und nur ein Badetuch für zwei […] Personen. Das Zimmer war kaum zu belüften, eine Miniluke am Fenster, darunter die Abluftanlage, die die Gerüche und schlechte Luft direkt in die Zimmer blies. Das Raumklima bewegte sich immer so um 28 Grad.Unerträglich... Das Frühstück auch ein Fiasko. der frühstücksraum streckenweise ein Chaos. Ungelernte Kräfte, die kein Wort Englisch sprechen konnten. Full English Breakfast bestand aus kalten Bohnen direkt aus der Dose, verbranntem Toast und Bacon vom Vortag, also auch kalt. Probleme konnte man nicht klären, da niemand die Sprache sprach. Insgesamt ein Mega Flop.....Und er weg in die Londoner City, dauert min. 50 Minuten.., befindet sich in Zone vier und kostet dementsprechend viel Fahrgeld....Alles sehr frustrierend.
