Lobby was nice, rooms are old and smells like an old building, it was clean. Didn't have clean towels each day and not enough soap for 2 people.what it does have is location, location, location.

This hotel is in a fantastic location and the staff are friendly. However,the room was very tiny, and we couldn't get the air conditioning to work. The room was hot and stuffy. The parking is in a parkade across the street which isn't a problem but there isn't even a pull in area for checking in. We had to circle the block until a space opened up out […] front. Overall, this hotel was OK for it's convenient location and friendly staff, and the small room wouldn't have been a big deal if I hadn't had kids with me. Had a great stay. Hotel is quaint and has a perfect location for those that want to shop on Robson or go to Granville Island. Red Card Sports bar has awesome pizza and beer. I will stay here again!

The room was 27 degrees Celsius with the A/C on. No response from the maintenance staff. We had to leave early in the morning to attend to a family emergency and I forgot my sunglasses in the safe. Called them first thing and they said they could not find them. What a horrible place, with terrible service.

For the price I paid (under $100/night) I was pleased with my stay here. It's definitely not luxurious, but just fine for a weekend trip. Our room was near the stairs and if you are a light sleeper, this could be an issue as they are wood, old, and really loud. There's not much soundproofing from the hallway and I actually woke up one morning thinking […] someone was vacuuming in our room (turned out to be in the hallway). If you're just looking for a place to crash, I think you'll be satisfied, as we were. The location is excellent; close to Robson, just a few blocks from Yaletown, and we even walked to Stanley Park in about 20 minutes. The staff was friendly and helpful. We also got two coupons for free pizza and a pint at the restaurant next door. We used one of them, and the pizza was fine for a free meal (I wouldn't recommend paying for it). 詳情

Had a great two day stay here! The staff went out of their way to ensure that our stay was comfortable and that we had everything we needed. The room was nice and the beds were comfortable. The location of the hotel was perfect - one block from Granville Street and it was great to have the restaurant downstairs. A complimentary pizza and pint at the […] pub next door was also a pleasant surprise. I will definitely stay here again, if I have the chance to come back to Vancouver (and I hope I do!). 詳情

Very good stay. Be prepared to pay $10 for parking each night and have to park on the 5th floor of parking complex on the next block. There is an elevator which makes it easy to get to and from. Great location and great price. Will be back!

there is a gap between the promissed room and this actually provided.While a room of 28-32 was promissed(as written in the confirmation) the room provided was much smaller and to change it we were required to pay additional 23 CAD/day

Our first room was digusting and small. windows opened up to the rooftop vents of surrounding restaurants. They gave us another room and it was much better. The hotel is centrally located and easy to get to. It looks very nice, but could do with a brightening of the paint. My room was nice. The tub in the bathroom had chipped enamel on the bottom. The flow of the water in the shower was nice but the pressure needed to be better. If the flow was any less you would have had to stand right against the wall […] to get any water on you. I also had trouble with the heating in my room. I couldn't get the temperature control to work consistently. There was a space heater in the room that didn't work. I finally just added a second blanket to the bed. This did the trick. I know the weather was nice, but the cleaning staff kept opening the windows, which led to the coolness of the room. Overall the stay was nice. They gave me coupons for a free pizza and beverage in their sports bar - where the pizza was excellent!! 詳情

The best thing about the hotel is the location.. Pretty much in the heart of downtown.. You can walk to everything. Rooms are clean but the bed, blankets and pillows are below average .. My stay at the Moda was pleasant; the parking lot was in close proximity, the staff was very helpful and even provided me with a space heater for my room. A bonus was having a FREE pizza and pint of beer at the restaurant attached to the Hotel - for every night of my stay.

Those windows might have been made of plastic wrap. The hotel is on a busy street that stayed busy all night long. If you want a good location, decent accomodations at a moderate price, this place works, but do not forget your ear plugs!!! Also there was an unpleasant smell on the main floor that made me think they were trying to cover up the smell […] of travellers that had mysteriously passed away there. The rooms were tidy but the bathroom walls were not clean, which always is off putting. Also, if you want to stand under your shower, this place if for travellers under 5 foot 7. If I was on a tight budget I'd stay here again provided I got the deal of the century, otherwise I'll be looking elsewhere. 詳情

Though you can hear through the floors/ceiling, a majority of the outside noise is blocked by the double-windows, making it easy to sleep. The rooms are nicely updated, but pretty small. Location couldn't be much better. Having a refrigerator would have been nice...maybe you can use the mini-bar for that?

I saw the picture n thought it would be a fabulous hotel but when I got there wow what a dissapointment. The room is way too small for a king size bed that I paid for. Elevator was too small n old. The price is too high for what you get. Too noisy because u can hear cars passing by at night my baby couldn't sleep. Bathroom is too small n not nice. I […] think it's misleading their advertisement because it looks too nice in picture but it's not what u get. The price is way to high for a place like this I'd rather stay at a motel then this place. I paid over 200 for two nights n it's not worth my money. Wonderfully positioned and great service, the hotel was only let down by a lot of noise from the street and other guests and a pervading unpleasant smell.

They should disclose the parking fee when they ask if you need parking. Also, the parking fee is pretty steep given that the garage is located across the street and they recommend that you don't leave anything in your vehicle since it is so prone to break-ins.

I had a great time staying at moda, it wasn't my first stay and it won't be my last, great location, great staff, and they even stored my luggage for a day when I had to fly to Victoria for a day.

I would never ever stay at this hotel again! Our room was on the 4th floor and the whole hallway and room smelled so bad that it was hard to breath, we went back down to the front desk to tell them that and they did move us down to the 3rd floor..but the smell wasn't any better! The carpet was dirty in the room, there were uncovered pipes running thru […] the top, the bathroom wasn't clean...and speaking of the bathroom...it had the smallest mirror ever...so for girls good luck with trying to do your make-up. The bathroom tub was pluged up and the water wouldn't drain, no bathroom fan, bad lighting. There was so no plastic bags for the ice bucket so called and asked for one...and the answer was "we don't have any". I was even scared to sleep in the bed...who knows how clean that was. Even their parking garage wasn't next to the hotel...that was across street and looked very shady. The hotel does not look like anything they show you in the pictures...completely false advertisement!! The staff didn't do anything to accommodate us! I understand it's a old building...but they could at least renovate the inside, do something about the nasty smell and keep it clean. I never had to complain about any hotel in my life but all I have to say is that this is the most disgusting hotel I've been to!! I booked this hotel looking at the pictures and reading the reviews, I don't know how this hotel has good reviews or have 3 and half stars...this hotel is not even worth rating 2 stars. 詳情

My significant other and I spent 3 nights at Moda to relax after a ski trip to Whistler. The hotel has a great downtown location within walking distance of the waterfront, shopping, restaurants, and the train station that links to the airport (no cab needed!). Staff was very helpful- offered us umbrellas when it was raining, gave suggestions for activities, […] and accommodated our requests. I was impressed that they snuck in to make up our room one afternoon when we were gone for just an hour after lazing in bed all morning- terrific! Rooms were decorated modern but could tell the building was historic- noisy heat system, few outlets, bathroom was clean but could use updates. Also some traffic noise, which I don't mind. Comfortable and clean bed and nice large room. I would definitely stay at Moda again. 詳情
