fixtures need to be updated badly. heat unit was noisy, bath and kitchen fixtures were worn and need of replacement. would not stay there again except it is close to my family.

The hotel clerk was very pleasant. The room was clean and the heating system effective for the cold night stay. No noise to wake me. However, the shower water at 4:30 AM was only luke warm -- due to, per the morning clerk, a number of construction workers who exit earlier in the morning. This hotel is fairly barebones, meaning it's just you and the room, with not very much service (i.e. - once-a-week housekeeping, no room service, old TVs, basic channels, etc). But if all you need is the room, and you're looking for a fairly cheap rate you can't go wrong with this place. If youre looking for a hotel thats up kept, on the nicer side and smells good this is not the one for you. We booked this to stay at for the local soccer tournament its location to the field was great along with its price. It served its purpose... Hotel room was clean however bathroom needed some serious attention. Shower had mildew as well as the tiles, the walls could have used a good wipe down also. I stay here when I am in town and this was the first time i have ever had a issue....beside they don't have early check in

Room's smell is stinky. There were only two pillow and dirty blanket. Soap, shampoo, lotion and trash bin was missing. Floor was dirty. Shortage of towel.

The room was clean, bed comfortable. Bathroom was dated but clean and water pressure was great. Did not use the kitchen except for the refridgerator which was plenty cold and made ice well.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. For some reason it said I was hooked to the internet but couldn't browse. Room was clean and comfortable with limited TV channels - but enough. Coffee pot, micro-wave and fridge but NO cups or untensils or plates even in the bathroom to rinse after brushing.

This pleasant, warm, hotel on outskirts of city centre is quiet and safe and nicely placed near to a bar/grille and a steakhouse. No pool heated or otherwise and no jacuzzi. Each unit has its own kitchenette and reverse cycle airconditioner. The laundry is low cost and well equipped, and the front desk staff are helpful. Ben who checked me in was polite, accommodating, and professional. The evening gentleman was also polite and accommodating. When I asked a maintenance worker for directions, the maintenance worker was polite. I enjoyed my stay....

The room was very clean, had a microwave, stove top, fridge, and pantry. Given the (very) modest price of the room, it was a great value, and and I would readily rent a room again from this hotel.

Contrary to other reviews we have seen about this hotel, we found the Homestead to be clean and cooperative. It was a good place to stay several years ago when we stayed there and it continues to be so. The location is great for seeing the sights but also for visiting our family in the area. Was impossible to find, the front desk was hard to access, a few spots of what looked suspiciously like blood on the floor. I would have been more comfortable sleeping in my truck.

When we walked into the lobby, there was no one there, only a sign saying they would return soon. After about 20 minutes of waiting, I finally called the reception desk and a clerk came after a couple of minutes. No elevators, a real problem if you are carrying luggage up a flight of stairs. The rooms were not worth the price we paid, they smelled […] like someone had been smoking (it was a non smoking room), the beds were really uncomfortable (hard and had valleys). At 10am, the maid came a knocking and demanded to know when we were checking out, check out was a 11am, felt that was a little bit weird. The shower head was not working properly. The bed was not comfortable and the comforter was torn. The TV in the bedroom is at least 15 years old. The location of the hotel is in a pretty safe neighborhood but the amenities of the hotel didn't meet my expectations at all. Although I stayed only for one night, it still bothered me.
