"Average Room But Great Property"

I've stayed at several resorts (PGA National & Jupiter Beach Resort) around the Palm Beach Gardens area. Compared to the other places I've stayed, the room at Marriott Ocean Pointe wasn't quite as nice or spacious; however, the property (pools, spas, beach, etc.) was fantastic. "Huge and well-appointed resort with lots to do!"

Unfortunately, we were there for only one night, so we did not get to take advantage of the various activities, tennis courts, fitness room, etc. We had a short walk on the beach (they keep it dark because of turtle season) and swam in one of their half-dozen (?) pools, and ate dinner at the so-called Caribbean buffet (not worth the $20 price tag), […] but that was about it. We managed to avoid attending any sales pitch or signing up for anything at all, and didn't get any grief about it. Staff was very nice and very accomodating. We were there to dive the Blue Heron Bridge, which was outstanding, btw--and the resort was very convenient for that. We had a one-bedroom suite and it was very nice. Huge bathroom, jacuzzi in the bedroom, good kitchen--everything to make a week's stay comfortable. The bed was too soft for us, but others may disagree. Not much to do off-site. There don't seem to be any restaurants nearby. The neighborhood on the other side of the bridge is pretty dicey. 詳情
