Very nice place. Reasonable. Only quibble is air conditioner/heater. Wall style units rattle. Also toilet drips because water shutoff inside tank does not shut off completely. A common problem in all hotels and a waste of water.

Really nice stay, has an old feel, but very modern, and well kept. Fun to be on Fremont street. Aquarium in pool is a very unique perk. Swim with the sharks!

A nightmare stay, this hotel standard has gone down really bad, walked in the room and found a dirty pair of thongs on the floor, that should tell you how much the room was cleaned....pillows smelled absolutely disgusting, could never sleep well even after asking them to change the pillows, they still smelled. Cups in the Carson restaurant were so dirty […] and smelly, makes you want to throw up , restaurant manager could care less and was upset that we complained . Great location for old school Vegas. Comfortable room. Nice low key place to stay if you're not in to the party scene. Request non smoking or you will smell like an ashtray.

First of all, the bed was really comfortable. Room bigger than a standard hotel room (we stayed in the Carson Tower). But, when I got up in the morning to shower, the drain was plugged and there was some standing water in the tub. So, that was no good. Ate at Lillie's, which is good and fun at the grill. great hotel but service is bad. Each morning someone employed by the hotel was knocking on my door before 9 am...either house cleaning or someone wanting to change the filters in the ac. I called to tell the manger but no one has returned my call and it has been over 8 days. I will stay somewhere else next time just because they don't seem to care.

We had a great time. Hotel staff and Casino staff were very helpful even though the New Years crowd was huge. We saw Gordie Brown, a must see performance... fun night. Gabriel Gifford and her Astronaut husband, Mark Kelly sat two rows up. A very surreal experience.

We liked the hotel,but the pool was closed way too early. We have 2 teens and found the ammentities for them were very restricted. The casino attendants were really bossy. My kids couldnt even to stand and watch us play a game.

I have stayed here before, but this time was even nicer room. The room had a large flat screen TV and was very clean and orderly.

We asked for a room close to the elevator but still had to walk down a long hall way to the last room there. Nice room but dont gamble there, you wont even come close to winning anything.

Just stayed here one night as a stop-over to get to Utah, but I enjoyed this place. The staff was very courteous and helpful. Considering how old this place is, it is very well kept and has been nicely updated. Fremont street after hours seems a little seedy though. As long as you're in the hotel, you'll be fine.

The hotel was great. Would recommend it to everyone. I would also go back in a second.

The hotel is very nice and was decently priced. The location is good as well. Outstanding quality, service and environment for the price. The restaurant was mediocre but did not detract from the overall hotel experience. Best "reduced priced" hotel in Vegas. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Staying downtown at the Golden Nugget was a very pleasant experience. I will definitely stay there again. There's so much going on downtown that I did not feel a need to go to the strip.

We are not smokers but our clothes smelled as though we had smoked a pack of cigarettes. Having asthma I found it very difficult to breathe after only a couple of hours.

We stayed for the Maaco bowl so it was mid week and upgraded to a suite. The first night we couldn't figure out what the smell was in the room. I kinda guessed it was from the sink, like someone threw up in it. We moved the next day to another suite. This time it was a handicap room with no tub, it was a walk in shower which was very dark and cold. […] When we checked out the up charge was double what they said when I checked in and I was charged for water that I didn't drink, $10 for a bottle of water( we brought our own). I told her what was said at check in and she corrected it and took the water off. I'm not going back there, it wasn't for me. 詳情

great room, very clean, comfortable bed, would absolutely come back there.

We spent one night there, in a non-smoking room. The room was clean and did not smell like smoke. The kids loved the shark tank water slide and swimming pool, we loved the hot tub!

Excellent hotel with everything anyone could ask for. Extremely comfortable bed, big room, amenities, great view.

Nice clean room with modern convienences. The hotel is nicely located on the downtown strip. It is worth checking out.

I am a local here in Vegas and rented the suite for a photoshoot, I have stayed in just about every on strip casino and opted for this one during CES since it was the ONLY reasonably priced option. The Riviera (a dump) was charging $400+ a night and its a roach motel. I knew Golden Nugget remodeled but hadn't seen the rooms, I usually don't stay in […] a room after I finish shooting but this one was so nice that we did. The 2 story suite was very clean, and for me to stay anywhere, it must be immaculate! The staff was friendly and helpful and I am glad I chose this place...let's hope my europe trip is as successful! 詳情

I often travle to Vegas for work and I have found the Nugget to be the best place to stay. Easy parking, short wait times for vallet, nice staff (always) and simply a good value. Simple access to the freeway and NLV. I am usually dissapointed when I stay elsewhere.

this is in downtown which is different than the strip. but you can visit the strip on the express bus or to the LV convention center. for my conference it was a cheaper but equally as good as hotels on the strip for which there was a shuttle to CES. i took the express bus for $7 for a 24 hour pass. saved lots. mickey

This was a awesome experience. I don't gamble and there's something from big to small. The nightlife is fun. Great place for families!!!! Would recommend this hotel to all travelers. Clean, friendly staff. Fun, and I can't wait to visit again!!!

My husband and I went to Vegas for New Years; this was our first trip. As we were shuttled from the airport to the hotel, I was getting nervous the further from the strip we went. When we arrived at the hotel I was releaved. While not ON the strip, the Golden Nugget is "downtown" in "old Vegas". It was a nicely decorated hotel with a little of everything. […] I LOVED the aquarium and there was even a glass tube slide that went thru the middle of the shark tank! The food was all wonderful....we experimented with all the restaurants. We did shuttle to the strip a few times, but found that we liked the atmosphere in downtown better. If you like activities but don't care for HUGE crowds and chaos, this is the hotel for you! 詳情

Golden Nugget was not bad. We expected a little nicer based on price. Good buffet. Pool. Extremely long walk from room to casino/sportsbook. Room clean, adaquate.

This hotel feels like Reno opposed to Vegas. It reeks of cigarettes and beer when you walk in the doors. Pretty standard for smoking casino hotels. Location is prime. It is a shame that the Golden Nugget is not on the strip. It is costly to use the bus, $14 a day for two people, And it needs to be used in a 24 hour period. I guess we should have gotten the 3 day ticket. Everything in Vegas costs real serious money. Not the bargain we once enjoyed. We do not gamble and so the drinks are not on the house. Spent one night while driving to LA. Very comfortable room, slept like a baby.

We were pleasatly surprised with the size and cleanliness of our room. We requested a smoking room and it was well ventilated with the ability to open the window to air it out. Oveall the hotel was updated and cleaned up.

People were rude, and they nickle and dime you on everything. $10 for the pot of (small) coffee in your room. Not enough plug ins in the room.

We had a great stay and enjoyed the Hide Out pool and jacuzzi after a long day at trade shows. Didn't appreciate paying $12 per day for wireless internet, was told by the front desk that they do not charge "Resort Fees". If you start charging resort fees, I will choose another hotel. Was asked to show my room key to use the pools, but was invaded by […] teenage boys that weren't staying there, throwing cigarette butts in the pool and splashing, had to leave the Hide Out pool on a nice sunny day. Overall, appreciate all of the updates over the years, this is year 7 for us. 詳情

Check in kind of sucked, waited in like for almost 20 mins. Other than that the hotel is great and is very fun! Won some monye on the crap tables as well!

The hotel was very nice and we had not problems during our one night stay. It is a long way from main reservations to the tower we stayed in, but it was relatively convenient to the car. The hotel is right on the Fremont Experience which is well worth seeing. The mini-strip along Fremont had casinos with lower value tables for the conservative gambler […] - I like $2 Black Jack which is hard to find but I did in this downtown location. The casinos in this location are older than out on the Strip, but worth it for the lower cost gambling. There were also better deals on food in this area of town. I would stay here again.
