Hugo, one of the evening waiters, was especially wonderful. We stayed in teh older part of the hotel, so the bathroom was a bit cramped and the shower drained slowly, but not enough to complain about. The staff (bar waitress, bellhops, front desk) were all very attentive. Breakfast and dinner at the main restaurant was very good. This was not my first time at this hotel. Seven years ago under a different name but did recognize the lobby. As I remember before, excellent buffet, pool was adequate & rooms were decent. Excellent place to stay! They have a very good complimentary transportation to the airport, the service is great, they are helpful and arrange anything you need, including transportation to Antigua.

Solid hotel at a great value. Clean and with all the necessary amenities a business traveler needs. Close to the airport and the complementary shuttle service was a welcome bonus, no need for a taxi. Staying here again next time I'm in town.

My travel plans to Antigua required me to arrive early in Guatemala City. This is the third year I have stayed at Barcelo. It's really a first class hotel, but the cost is very reasonable. The two highlights are the pool (I would swim laps each day) and the breakfast . . . probably the best I've every had. Very helpful, safe and comfortable.

Great hotel experience. Felt very secure and lots of pedestrian traffic in local neighbourhood so walking around didn't feel unsafe. Pool was very nice, no shallow areas for kids but that was fine four our little one who was happy to float around.

The first time we stayed was excellent. It was really nice to be able to smoke on the balcony, a nasty habit I admit. We really appreciated the sumptuous breakfast buffet and Karla was great at tracking down a car (we thought we had rented one but the Thrifty stall on the second floor of the airport carpark was empty but the guy next door obliged us. […] However, I thought I had booked for Feb. 18 and realized we had been put in for the day after I booked in November so we are out that $103. However, again Karla came to our rescue. Barcelo was fully booked that night but she found us a room at the Hotel Mercure, a suite actually and much more than we needed but we did need a bed so truly appreciated her efforts. We had a great Time watching the Super Bowl in the sports lounge and they were really good about supplying us with a bucket of cold beer to take up to our room. 詳情

I stay here for business trip and when I dont, I wish I had. The front desk staff is super efficient and friendly. They had a room available even when I had to check in early. The airport shuttle staff is friendly. Overall a great experience!

We were pleasantly surprised, with Guatemala City & the people we met. The Barcelo Hotel was a VERY nice surprise! Awesome hosts, hotel is beautiful! Food cost & taste, is excellent! I would recommend this hotel to EVERYONE!!

Nice hotel, friendly staff. Guatemala City is nice, but if I could do it over again, would have probably only spent the last night of the trip there, instead of the last 2 nights. The extra night would have been better spend in Antigua, Panajachel or somewhere else in Guatemala. I have stayed several times at this hotel. It is located very close to the airport. The hotel is impeccable and the staff very friendly. My only disappointment was that the breakfast was not included in my rate, which was a little higher than competing hotels that I considered.

Overall the hotel and facilities were excellent. The only drawbback was that the heating and ac is older and the best option was turning it on and then off again to get to the correct room temperature.

Was wonderful experience , club premium is a huge place , they offer everything free , no cost , and the buffet service amazing , good food , good place , bad thing , only 2 pool areas , but everything , nice staff and the tour agency service are good , not expensive !!!

Very nice hotel, in a nice location, centrally located in zone 9 just outside of zone 10. Can walk in the neighborhood and feel safe. There's a grocery store less than 2 blocks away, which adds convenience. ATM machines in the hotel lobby. WiFi in the lobby and rooms.

This is a nice hotel with excellent service. Not modern but not stuffy. WiFi worked great in the room - not always the case. Breakfast was tasty and being Guatemala the fruit was delicious. Close to everything in the city center. Will stay here again.

Great value for money. Very tidy and welcoming. Plus, they sent a cab to pick us up at the airport when our late arrival was after the final shuttle had finished its run. The breakfast buffet was nice, and shuttle service to nearby sights could be arranged from inside the building. All very pleasant and professional.

Overall it is a good place to stay, just the parking is a little bit difficult, but if you are not driving it won't be an issue.

Comfortable, quiet, nice hotel. Very handy for getting to the airport. The bathroom was not amazing but perfectly adequate. Handy having a couple of options for dinner in the hotel. The breakfast, like so many hotel buffets, could be improved. All in a pretty good place to stay for the night before a flight.
