The hotel in itself was splendid. Location-wise it was nice - close to the Taipei 101, but about 10 minutes from the MTR station. Connected to the hotel was a small shopping mall with a food court in the lower levels. Very affordable airport bus stop right in front of the hotel.

It has spacious room and good breakfast. Very comfortable bed and there is a TV in bathroom. Its location is good if you want to visit 貓空 but is a bit far from other attractions. But in general it is a comfortable hotel and so recommended.

This hotel was an all around treat! Staff was courteous and helpful, place is in an amazing part of the city, and the room was relaxing with a great view. Cannot says names, but the chef at the Marco polo upstairs is a genius and highly personable. This was my first stay in an Asian hotel that had a breakfast even worth mentioning, but full service […] huge buffet with made to order omelettes. Even if you chose a different hotel I recommend stopping by the Shangri-la just to visit the top floor and take pictures! My only negative was that I had to call the front desk(since I was not in my rom) to find out what time the restraints opened as they are not posted on the doors. 詳情

This hotel is centrally located in Taipei. The hotel has a rooftop pool on the 43rd floor. From there you can relax in the pool or jacuzzi, or just read a book on a chair and watch the sunset over the entire city. They have relaxing spa music playing poolside. This was by far my favorite part of the hotel. If you can afford it, stay here!

Both my wife and I found the Shangri-La Hotel in Taipei City very clean, neat, tidy and warm to its guests. It has very friendly staff always willing to help. The food is delicious and well presented with excellent choice and quality. Decor of the hotel is modern contemporary style and the ensuite is huge and modern with lots of space. Beds were very […] comfortable although we both found the pillows a little bit too soft and our heads would sink into the pillows even when we placed two pillows on top of each other. There are no smoking rooms within the hotel to accommodate the smokers and the only place to smoke is outside at the front of the hotel which does not present well for the hotel to have its guests out in the streets! A smoking room/cafe/bar inside is desirable. The hotel is central in district 106 and it's a USD$5.00 taxi ride to just about anywhere. Excellent quality shops within the hotel precinct shopping complex. We can recommend the Shangri-La Hotel in Taipei to anyone for business or for pleasure purposes. During this period of our stay - 29-Apr to 3-May, Hotels.com website "Bonus Choice offer" -"Transportation credit of TWD 1,500" does not agree with Shangri-la Far Eastern Hotel website. We confirmed with the Concierge on arrival that they did not offer this option. It would help to confirm with Hotels.com then make your decision. You really can't go wrong with Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel. It's right downtown, great restaurants, connected to a nice little mall, great gym and pools overlooking the entire city, the rooms are beautiful, the hotel is amazing, and the buffets can not beat. ２度目の滞在です。とにかくホテルのスタッフがみな親切です。お店の予約等も手伝い頂けますので、日本語しか話せない方でも行きたい場所にスムーズに行けます。部屋の広さ・清潔さにも満足です。また、松山空港からタクシーで15分かからないくらいの立地です。移動は、タクシー・徒歩でしたので、不便には感じなかったです。タクシー代も安いです。
