It was very comfortable. The only problem was the microwave had food in it but we told the maid & she took care of it right away. "Great hotel with one minor problem"
This is a very nice hotel. Perfect location close to the park yet walking distance to most attractions in Gatlinburg. Most of the employees were nice and professional. The hot breakfast was great but one of the servers was a little grumpy speaking to the guests in a negative tone. I know the servers were passing on the hotel policy of once through the […] food line and limiting us to 2 sausages when asked for 3, a little ridiculous, but it was the manner in which he did so. As a retired Customer Service Rep I can see the need of a little more training for these people. Customers can really be difficult at times but an employee must treat each one with respect and recognize the customer is actually paying their wages. Hotel was wonderful! We were within walking distance to everything in Gatlinburg since it is right on main street. We visit here at least once a year and will gladly book at this hotel again. At check in we were informed there was a $32.99 "RESORT FEE" for our 2 nights stay. After reviewing the Hotels.com print out which at the top said paid in full - there was fine print at the bottom that said there may be a $10 per day added fee. We had a great time. We'd been gone and Gatlinburg was our half-way-decompress spot on the way home. We'd had some bad experiences in Gatlinburg before I studied hotels.com. This time, I read reviews, knew what I didn't want and chose Clarion for it's being away from the mob at the end of the street and my personal preference of a duvet instead of a […] bedspread.
