"Cheap hotel in a bad neighborhood"
Cheap hotel in a bad area of town. The only close ammenities are a run down gas station and taco shop and a Starbucks about 1 block away. The room was average. Not overly clean though. The bed was uncomfortable and the window air conditioner did not cool the best. The reception area is the size of a closet and the steps and sidewalks outside of the […] rooms are very dirty (cigarrette buts, gum, spilled drinks, etc). Close to Starbucks, Subway and Berratin!!! Smokefree room was fairly stinky. Bed linens and towels smelled of smoke. I must say I have stayed at way better places for the same price! The room was very small -- only a king-sized bed could fit in! Bathroom was ridiculously small too. Overall appeared like a dingy and shady place, hard even to locate! And, oh, did I mention the breakfast? "A great place for a bath"
I stay in fine hotels across the USA and very few of them have working bathtubs. I like taking a bath but very few Hotels make sure that the bathtub holds water. At the Econo Lodge on SE 82nd the owner takes pride that all his bathroom fixtures work. It seems basic to hotel service but it's quite common that bathtubs don't hold water.
