This hotel would've been rated much better BUT.... 1) They charged me $60 extra because I wanted to switch from smoking to non smoking when I got there, WHICH IS THE SAME PRICE (non smoking was sold out when I booked). 2) The toilet kept clogging up. Well to begin...We got to the hotel early, and they where nice enough to let us have the room...I believe this may have something to do with the two truckers who broke down and did not want the room because it only had one bed...lucky or not hmmmmmmmmm? After going to Salem We came back to sleep in the room, only to discover that we where locked out...I […] went to the front desk to find out why, and the young man who was on duty gladly offered to re-key may card without even asking for a name or ID...(kind of makes yah wonder) I asked this young man if he wanted to see my ID and he said NO ...the bed was hard and you can hear everything above you...like the couple having sex above us...finally went to sleep and woke up in the morning...when taking a shower discovered that the water did not drain from the tub...oh and the tv sucked skipped and lagged all morning...after I explained what had happened to who i guess was the manager upon check out..all he could say was sorry...Wow Just Wow... I guess the best part is discovering today that my Ipod nano, cds and Apple Express vanished...I did not think about them until today...I wonder who could have taken them...I will let you decide...all I can say is that they where in my bag, that I left in the hotel room...So where oh where could they have gone? 詳情

This hotel is situated just out of Boston and access by public transport took 30-40 minutes. The rooms were ok, but a bit musty. No hair dryer provided. We were on the lower floor at the back and access was difficult, we had to park away from our room and carry our bags, we, also, heard every step that the people in the room above made as well as a […] lot of noise from their shower and toilet. The night desk clerk provided the rudest customer service I have ever seen at a hotel (and I travel a lot). He did not bother to answer the phone when I called from the airport, and when we got there I found out why - he was 100% focused on a personal phone call and had no interest in being bothered with customers. He stayed chatting on his cellphone […] the entire time he was checking us in - no eye contact, minimal verbal communication - he just tossed the keys over his shoulder at us and was clearly annoyed at having to take the time to provide directions to our room. NOT a comforting welcome to a small hotel late at night. Other than that, the hotel is pretty basic, a bit scruffy, and a bit noisy (it was a major party night), but not uncomfortable; and the day clerk was actually quite helpful when we needed a taxi at 4AM. 詳情

When I arrived on a Thursday night at 11:00 pm the front desk clerk could not be found. I waited until 12:15 am when the night clerk showed up and he woke up the other clerk who was sleeping. I finally got in to my room at 12:30 am. Also it was a $45 cab ride from the airport.

What a dump! This akin to a prostitute and drug dealer flop house, the place stinks (literally) the place is dirty. The most disgusting hotel I have ever stayed at, if it weren't for circumstances, I would have left and stayed elsewhere. Stinned that Econolodge would associate there name with such a dumphole!

Wow, what can I say...dreadful comes to mind. Dark, dreary neighborhood...burglar bars on the windows. Front desk was behind Plexiglas for protection. Sadly we only stayed here as it was the ONLY cost effective way to stay one night in the Boston area to get our plane earl the next morning! The woman who checked us in was RUDE!!!!! The bathroom counter sticks out so there's less than 1 foot clearance between the door and the bathroom. You literally have to turn sideways to get into the bathroom!

This was one of our worst stays anywhere ever.Last minute booking because every where else was full. Smoking room- might as well have had the room on fire. Cigarette butts on the metal staircase- to curtains in shreds on the windows, A/C did not work, TV didn't work on and on.

We had a late check-in 12pm and I had to wait several minutes before being checked-in. The room smelled of smoke and we requested a non smoking room,the air-conditioner was mounted on the wall near the ceiling and it dripped all night into plastic trash cans.It was noisy and the outside lighting lit-up the room.

I stayed one night, and for the price, I couldn't be any happier with this hotel. All I needed was a cheap room that was clean and comfortable, and this was it. I would certainly stay here again. Breakfast was a bit of a let down, but it is free, and I can't really scoff at free food.

I arrived with a guy smoking pot outside my door like it was a cigarette. Burn holes all over the bed and comforter with the bathroom sink being held up by a board. The place was scary and disgusting.
