The location was perfect for us as everything is within walking distance or accessible by subway. Only minutes away from Macy's, MSG, Empire state building etc.

Super great location. My husband and I travel to NY ever year around this time to attend a convention at the Javits Convention Center. This is the second year we have chosen to stay at the New Yorker and it was great. Very convenient location, very quick and easy daily walk for us to the convention center. The staff was also very helpful, as we had several packages delivered to the hotel before our arrival, and they were ready and waiting as soon as we checked in. A very touristy area, and sterile environment. However the bed was comfortable and the walls were thick for good soundproofing. I will definitely not return.

I had a great stay at the New Yorker Hotel! The room was great, clean and comfortable and the view was fabulous. It was nice having the refrigerator in the room. The staff and the door man were great. I plan to stay there in the future!

Great location - one short block from Penn station, 10 minute walk from Empire State Bldg and/or theater district. Nice feel to it - old grand art deco. Very good diner (Tick-Tock diner) open 24 hrs next to the lobby. Very nice views (if you're high enough). Room clean and comfortable, but small. They did charge extra for wireless.

The hotel was in a great location for some of the must-see places in New York - would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting this great city.

Spent five days here & it suited us very well. Love the vintage feel of this classic hotel. Room was a decent size - don't expect expansive spaces in NYC. Was adequate for our needs. The gym was also adequate & clean. Can't beat the location right across from Madison Square Garden & shopping++ Would stay here again during my next visit to NYC.

The New Yorker is about 1,000 years old in City time (opened in 1930) but she's still pretty classy. I wanted to be near Penn Station to catch a train so I stayed there. (To be frank, my first choice was booked). In any case, The New Yorker is in the midst of a major renovation, but they're doing their best to accommodate guests, and doing a fair job […] of it. My "renovated" room still had art deco tiles and old style fixtures, but the hot water was strong, the bed, carpeting and lighting were all brand new, and the toilet flushed without giving me any trouble. I found that it was just what i needed. i liked everything about it close to many things and all kinda of food in the hotel. A 24 hour dinner and a nice bar and good food next to it i loved my stay and slept well nice shower as well. great stay

A classic art-deco hotel with a lot of history, perfect location, not bad price-wise, but its years of greatness are long gone. Good to stay where once Tesla lived and Muhhamad Ali and Fidel Castro stayed, but probably good to stay there once ;)

It was a really nice hotel and the service was really great. We went to see a Knicks game and the location could not have been better. The price wasn't bad either for two nights!

Stayed one night, very nicely received by "Tony" at Reception and given a lovely room, 3325. The size, quality and views were exceptional for the price paid. Clean but small rooms. Close to everything including lirr, penn station, and all trains. Short trip to theater.

Stayed in NYC on 3/12/12, I chose the New Yorker due to its proximity to the Empire State Building. The room and bedding were very clean. The Bath room did have older furnishings. Very nice hotel. Central location close to Empire State Building, Madison Square Gardens, and Time Square. The room was very tiny but in New York I think that's normal. The shower would turn cold then hot quite often. The staff were quite pleasant to deal with. Overall I would recommend this hotel to others.

the hotel was in a great central locale. the only drawback for us was no room service or refridge in room. the diner was fair downstairs.

I like this hotel but have only stayed there when the price is not several hundered dollars. the rooms are clean but small. The cleaning staff does take your towels even if you don't want them too. Very good hotel and good value for the money. Recommend! The only dissapointment was that the promised city view was not very special, mainly walls of the same building and the opposite buildind.

Small room, no charm, tiny bathrooms

Lovely, historical, clean and safe. Centrally located between Central Park and Battery Park. Easily walk 'home' after Broadway shows. Shop in the fashion District or attend event at Madison Square Garden which is right next door. Cannot wait to stay there again!!

Hotel is in a great spot- Restaurant/lounge exceptionally good service- food and pricing. Would have liked the bedding to be a little nicer but room was very clean. When looking for a hotel for a three night stay I read a bunch of reviews like this one ranging from terrible to great place to stay , not a lot of help.... We booked the New Yorker anyway , travelled by train and couldn't believe how close to Penn Stationand yet a 15 minute wall to Times Sq.. As stated in most of the reviews the room we had was small […] but adequate for a short stay , a longer time I would book a larger room. Asked for higher floor , a good way to escape street noise . A good place to stay , clean ,reasonably priced , the Tick Tock Diner is an excellent spot to grab a meal. The Hounds Tooth Pub a block up the street is fantastic . Ideal for anyone who is looking for a quiet base in midtown Manhattan. Hotel is very close to Times Square and MSG. Very good price considering the location in Manhattan. I have stayed in a fair few hotels in Manhattan and the rooms are slightly smaller. Overall, excellent value for money from my experience.

Very convenient location. Friendly staff. Very satisfied with this hotel and plan on returning.

Hotel is in a great location, the staff are all very friendly and the Room was very clean, ours had great views of the city and Hudson river, will be using the next time we go again

The most comfortable bed we have slept in ANYWHERE in the world (Including home!) hotel room was a bit dated but it was only a place to sleep! Close to Maddison square gardens (across the road) Time square was a 15 min walk or two stops on the Metro Empire State building a quick walk!

The hotel is convenientely located right across Penn Station and 5mins walk from Port Authority Station, very convenient. The room is small but clean. Very comfortable bed. The hotel itself seems a bit outdated and old, not fancy at all. The walls in the rooms are thin as papers, you can hear everything from the corridor and the room nxt to you. Quality of the staff varied greatly. One guy on the "transport desk" and one in the mail room were the 2 most helpful people I met there. A couple on the front counter and concierge desk made me want to check out early. Can not beat the location, can walk to most places so you save on taxis, great food options nearby. The New Yorker is a great hub to most places in Manhattan... Staff was very helpful... don't worry about the room... you won't be spending much time there anyway.

First of all you cannot beat the location of this hotel. The subway line is right next to the hotel, Maddison Sq Garden is across the street, Macy's one block down with lots of eating choices in a one block area and finally the Tick Tock Diner next to hotel serves a great breakfast. The check in was easy and staff very friendly. There are sucurity […] men by the elevators asking for your room key to ensure that only guest go up or they call your room to allow the person up. The only down side is the room size and the thinness of the walls. I knew every time both rooms on either side were taking a shower or using the bathroom. Also the room was very small, that I could not lay out my suitcases on the floor. But for the price, the condition of the hotel and location this is perfect for any length stay. 詳情
