The staff was extraordinarily helpful. The hotel itself had interesting architecture and very nice rooms. My only niggles were with all the merchandise in the room -- I was afraid to touch anything lest I have to buy it -- and the feather pillows (which I may have been able to swap for foam if I hadn't been too tired to ask). Parking was expensive ($37) […] but fortunately it was half-price for hybrids. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and the Vintage Plaza will be our first choice for a Portland hotel now. 詳情

Beautiful building. Very nice rooms. The beds are a little soft, my back was aching after the third night. Gym is mediocre at best. Internet is extra. The location is fantastic, with all of downtown Portland right out the front door. I'd recommend it.

first night the end table was dusty. when they cleaned the room on the 4th night the bathroom floor was dirty, no liner for ice bucket, bedding was not changed, no extra toliet tissue and the wine glasses were not replaced. Old hotel, smell of old carpets bothered us,okay room, desk lamp wasn't working properly. The only thing I liked about it is the free coffee in the morning. We were never in the hotel in the evening for wine tasting. Overall, it is nothing like a four star hotel.

I own a business in Portland and have stayed in virtually every hotel in the City. This was the noisiest room I have ever, every been in. The in-room heating unit was as loud as a small outboard motor, so I just shut it off. Then the room was filled with the sound of a high-capacity water line that ran continuously through the night. This was so loud […] that I (and I'm not kidding you on this) had a nightmare that the room was flooding. Just to top things off... if you want Internet access at this Hotel, you have to fill out some huge form that tells them where you kids go to school and your IRA account numbers - rediculous. When I called the Desk to ask if there was a way to just log on without divulging a lot of personal information, the woman was very snotty and said "That's not MY problem". I couldn't possibly have been happier with this hotel. From check-in to check-out, we were treated with superior service and attention; our room was gorgeous with really lovely details. The wi-fi was so fast! and the hotel's restaurant was delicious. May only stay in Kimptons from now on!

Decent downtown hotel that is located close to everything. Rooms were ok with very small showers. Enjoyed the stay and the staff was quite helpful. Would stay here again but I think other options are available with equally good location.

I'm a huge fan of Kimpton Hotels, so perhaps I hold them to a higher standard, but the details were off. Toilet was separating from wall, makeup mirror light didn't work, sink stopper broken. A request for a fix brought a quick and gracious response, but only the sink stopper could be fixed during our stay. Staff and hotel manager (brand new that week) […] promised prompt attention. The property was lovely, but unfortunately the staff were rude and unhelpful. There is no concierge desk, and the front desk staff work very hard to ignore guests. The desk clerks also repeatedly reminded us that since we booked through a "third party" (hotels.com), we didn't qualify for certain things, such as the complementary wifi. Very comfortable stay, great rooms, and the staff was very friendly. I loved the pillowed (squishy), good amenities (they offer an umbrella!) and when we called up for extra towels & hair spray, they were quick to bring them up. The restaurant also have an unlimited bellini bar on the weekends, yum!

A nice place, comfortable rooms - and while some reviews said their room was smaller than the photos, our room ended up being comfortable and about as advertised (2 queen beds). Turn right out the front door and you end up in a slightly sketchy area (strip clubs) on your way to Powell's Books. We have stayed at the vintage plaza a few times. It is a great hotel! Clean rooms, friendly staff, in the heart of downtown and exceptionally quite. This visit was for valentines day and we were going downtown to see a show. We wanted to be able to have fun without worrying about getting home latter. Vintage plaza made it easy, we valet our car, checked […] in, and walked to the show. Afterwards, we walked backed, got a good nights sleep and woke up refreshed and ready to return to real life. Whether you are here for a business trip, vacation or a romantic evening out, I think you will be pleased with your stay here. This is an elegant and classic hotel. The entire staff from housekeepers to the manager worked tirelessly to make my 4 day stay unforgetable. The quality of the service and the devotion of the staff to provide for your every need in a professional, cheerful and efficient manner made for a truly great stay. This is the second stay I have had at a Kimpton resort and honestly I cannot find a better chain. Everyone that works for this company is amazing. Seriously. We aways have a pillow problem as my husband has a big (literally) head and wants a thick and firm pillow. We wound up with 6 pillows on the bed and he did find some to help. Very accommodating staff as they delivered the extra pillows within 30 minutes of his request. We have to come to Portland twice a year for a Doctor's appt. We love staying here, and will continue to do so. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Always exceptionally clean, comfortable rooms.

staff is very welcoming of us and our dog. Only negative: they no longer have hot water/coffee set up in the rooms unless specifically requested. Funnily that is quite awkward.... especially given the great spacious room and nice kitchen/bar area.

Wonderful location right in downtown. We brought our dog and a dog park is just 1 block away. Large stall secured overnight parking right across the street. Be careful about lower floors and early morning garbage collection noise.

Good location, 2 blocks to the Pioneer Square, to the MAX station. Nordstrom, Macy's, Ross, even Nordstrom RACK, all 5-10 minutes walking. One small thing, when we asked for stamps, the front desk told us to the grocery store which did not sell stamps any more, but found the post office is just 4 blocks away.
