Hotel was absolutely horrible!! Asked for extra pillows and blankets for the pull out sofa bed and after waiting an hour I had to go down to the front desk myself and ask AGAIN! Housekeeping would only make the regular bed and not the sofa bed. No place to park out in front of our building at night after being at the parks all day. Getting tired. Hotel needs a makeover. Good size pool. Breakfast not complimentary and served for five dollars in a separate building called a restaurant, yeah right! Room reasonably clean. Five dollar resort fee for Internet and park shuttle, great if your going there but if your not, well.! So ok for a few days or an overnighter. Need recondition external areas, the refrigerator not work I call and they never fix or change , ice machine area smells smoking , in the night too much light enter on the room from outside

A little outdated, but overall clean. Housekeeping was great. Received better service than other nearby hotels, at a way lower rate. Would definitely stay again.

double check your reservations before you accept them... when i booked the hotel i booked a deluxe double as they call it and it was supposed to be 2 queen beds and a sofa but when we got to the hotel we got 2 full size beds with no sofa... i was upset and the hotel didnt even try to fix it. other than that it was a decent hotel and we would stay there […] again :) 詳情

Hotel was good except it didn't have a refridgerator in the room. Our biggest complaint was that we were made to pay an extra $4.95 per day booking fee at check in even though we had already prepaid for our 6 night visit. We stayed at this hotel for 3 days while visiting the theme parks. We live in WPB so we come up quite often. I picked this hotel because we are looking for alternative places to stay whenever our regular places rates go higher. This hotel was what we expected due to the low rate. I read a lot of bad reviews for this type of hotel but I think that people […] are not realizing you are not staying at the Ritz so you need to lower your expectations right off. We made our reservation about a mth in advance and then I read later that not all of the rooms have a microwave or mini fridge. We use these appliances quite often so our way I called to ask if we could get a room with ones in it. The gentleman on the phone was very nice and told me they only had one room left and if I wanted it there would be an additional $10 chg per night. I was kinda annoyed by this because most places we stay for around the same rate per night have these included but we needed it so I said yes. We also asked for a floor level room but they didn't have any available but they do have an elevator that worked well so it was not big deal. Upon arriving and checking in we had to pay the additional amount for the new room upgrade plus this hotel charges $4 per day for the use of their lobby computers w/ internet, the shuttle that goes to/from the theme parks and something else I can't remember, I want to say it was for the pool. All of which we used none of. I am kinda annoyed by this charge and think it should be optional. We always bring our own computer and they have free wi-fi and we drive our own car to the parks and usually don't have time for the pool. Check in went smooth and we we up to our room. Upon walking in the room appeared clean and we immediately smelled cleaning products which I think is always a good sign. They were not over baring but you could tell they cleaned. This was our second stay here and we were very pleased. Rooms were clean, pool was clean, stay was priced very low and suited our needs for a place to sleep and shower. All our time is spent in the parks so we don't need fancy. Friendly staff and had no issues. We will stay here again.

I found the hotel to be clean and the staff friendly. I had free wifi in the room, and the location was close to restaurants and shopping. The area is in decline but I felt very safe. My only complaint was the large gap at the bottom of the door, a mouse could have fit through it which made it a bit noisy. But overall I would stay there again.

This hotel must have been beautiful in 1971. The whole Kissimmee area went through such a tremendous boom when Walt Disney World opened, but since then has deteriorated while the action moves on to new areas. Now this old "main entrance" area is kind of falling down, and many businesses are gone. This hotel was pretty one day, but is not very well maintained. […] We had a door that would not lock, but we had to spend the day at Disney with our room wide open to anyone who pulled the handle. The desk offered to fix it, but never did and it was still unlocked when we left. I understand the $5 fee to help share the cost of the shuttles with the other hotels, but it should be published. As it is, it's certainly a hidden fee, and when you come in with a fully paid room, it's a surprise to have to plunk down an additional $11.00 in order to check in. The cost is extremely low, but there are so many low cost rooms in the Orlando area, that I think it's easy to do much better. To be 12 miles or so down the highway from the action and then have the problems with safety features not functioning is really not acceptable. The desk folk were not very helpful It was an adequate place to sleep, was not dirty, and the bed was comfortable, so it was a bargain, but I think you can do better. 詳情

The hotel looked like those in 50's movies. So aged and seemingly not compatible with the image of Howard Johnson or Orlando. My wife kept killing mosquitos inside the room every single day we stayed there.

Howard Johnson Inn Tropical Palms Kissimmee was a well-maintained and well-managed hotel. The parking lot was extraordinarilly large so that each hotel guest would have no difficulties making sure that he could park his vehicle extremely close to the hotel's main entrance. There is a Steak & Shake fast food restaurant located right in front of the hotel […] on Highway 192 (Irlo Bronson Highway) that is open 24/7. In my view, the convenience of this restaurant's location being within very quick walking distance (two minutes from hotel's front door) is immeasurable. Hotel staff are professional and proficient. A fish tank with a beautiful assortment of tropical fish behind the check-in counter is a nice touch. This is a good hotel for guests in Orlando/Kissimmee who are traveling on business or for those guests who are vacationing with family. There is a large swimming pool which the kids will definitely enjoy!!! 詳情

We just returned from staying here and was a little sceptical from some of the reviews however we had no problems at all. The rooms were a little outdated but were clean, staff was friendly and helpful. It was not far from Disney at all. The people at the hotel were friendly. i had stayed at many hotels in the kissimmee area and they did not have ammunties that were needed incduing the breakfast bar but this one had an old time feel and there was a resturant on the site and another one next door and at both places the food was great and this one i had no issue with the room and the tv had all the good channels such as hbo […] and bet. 詳情

First... I had reserved a handicap room. I am in a wheelchair. I drove 12 hours to get there. They did not honor my handicap room. Actually they put me in a room there was no parking by. And not handicap accessible. Were not gracious. I was struggling to get through a door in my wheelchair while 3 employees just watched. Clean & cheap hotel to stay for visit to disneyland. Did allow to check in early without any additional charges. Friendly staff. No issues while staying there.

Plzz don't book this hotel...room condition was so bad and receptionist was horrible......hotel was very old and no maintenance is being done.....roms, lifts everywhere u smell bad and feel like getting out of that hotel.....u don't feel good spending at this place while you are on vacation

The room that I stayed in had a strong mold/mildew smell. The service was great ; and the restaraunt on site provided room service and the price of food was very reasonable.

Close to all the attraction parks, clean, plenty of room, nothing to complain about besides the breakfast place .... That sucks.

Clean and quiet. Great hotel for the price, especially when you just want a quiet clean place to sleep. We spend all our time in the parks so this was perfect.

Needs a renovation soon, Hotel location is a 5 star close to a major attractions, Shopping Malls very nice area in kissimmee Florida. I will stay in again in The Howard Johnson Hotels.

I enjoyed my stay at the Howard Johnson Inn. The room was clean; the shower had been updated and was fine. The maid service was very good. It was quiet. and close to many restaurants and attractions. Spent five nights at the inn.

My hubby and I are locals. Due to unexpected circumstances, we have been staying at hotels here and there for the last two months until our apartment is handed over to us in 4 more weeks. We only look for a place when he comes in from his over- the- road truck route. Meanwhile I stay with my sis.... We needed a place to stay for two nights. Guys do not stay here the price definately reflects what you are going to get the bathroom door had a dog urine stain going down the last few feet of the door. The rug is nasty and old. I found a pill on the floor. The Bathroom had 1 light out. This is our 2nd time staying here. This last stay was not as enjoyable as the first. Being put by the pool was a mistake...children running and yelling out side our room and adults standing over the railing rapping at 11pm. If you stay ask to be on the other side of the building or not in the main building at all. The hotel has alot of maint. issues […] broken lamps holes in the ceiling etc. but the rooms are clean. This stay we did not get maid service or even clean towels on a two night stay when the previous stay just the weekend before we got a full clean and fresh linens. 詳情

I usually stay much closer to the WDW property...gone are the days where you could save a lot of money by staying further away. But since I was working at a location that was on Orange Blossom Dr, I figured I'd try a new hotel. Location wise, the area is not too bad, most of it has been redeveloped...that is, excluding the actual property the hotel […] is on. The pavement in the parking lot is all messed up, and the presentation is dirty. The rooms themselves are VERY old, furniture has a lot of chips and wear. The worst part was how dirty the carpet was. I could feel the dirt as I walked around barefoot, and my socks turned black after a few hours of walking around. Also, the curtains do a very poor job of blocking out light, which is a huge issue if you stay facing the courtyard, which has these intense orange lights on all night. The distance to the parks also makes this a bad value...US 192 is one of those roads where you will catch EVERY SINGLE TRAFFIC LIGHT. It took me at least 10-15 minutes to reach I-4 from here, and this was at night with no traffic. Not a terrible hotel, but it's old, dirty, and really not a good value. They also charge a mandatory "service fee" for use of park shuttles and internet computers. 詳情

I was pleasently suprised with this hotel. As I pulled in I thought I was going to be disapointed, but after walking in, and getting in my room, very nice and comfortable for the price. They hotel staff was very nice and responsive, when I ask to be moved, due to the family that was next door. I was there for work.
