Room was smaller than we expected a triple room to be & a few things needed to be fixed. The back of the hotel, towards which our room faced, had scaffolding and the workers would make a ruckus early in the morning. However, the hotel staff was very nice and helpful!

If you want a hotel in a quiet area, this is the perfect spot. It was charming. Nice bathrooms. Friendly staff (always make an attempt at speaking French!). If you are a walker, this is a perfect location to walk to Eiffle Tower, Champs de Lyse, Notre Dame and Latin Quarter (not all in same day).

After attending an official function for three days just outside Paris, I stayed on an additional couple of days in Paris. The hotel is situated on a quiet street, close to embassies, and within walking distance of several restaurants and small shops. I felt safe walking at night to local brasserie recommended by staff, and during the day was able to […] walk to both Louvre and Musee D'Orsay in about twenty minutes. I had the breakfast, which proved filling enough (juice, coffee, yogurt, bread, cheese, ham, etc) to get me through the day until a late afternoon break at the museum cafe. The staff was helpful, and courteous, and I was able to arrange airport shuttle, which was a great savings compared to taxi fees. Room was really good size, clean, and as it turned cold and rainy, I was able to adjust temp to warm up after walking much of the day. We were fortunate to get one of the few rooms on the very small court side (after insisting we not take the room we were given on the first floor by the street), so it was very peaceful, if small (though we payed for the deluxe size). Hotel de Suede is in the 7th arrondissement in Paris which is a much quieter neighborhood to stay in. The hotel is near lots of embassies so there isn't as much of tourist traffic than there in the neighboring areas, but it is withing walking distance to almost all of Paris. We arrived at the hotel after our flight at 10am and our room wasn't ready […] yet so we walked around a bit to kill time. We got back around noon and it still wasn't ready, but they sent someone up to clean it for us right away...which was something we definitely didn't expect. The staff was very friendly and spoke English, which was helpful due to our limited French. We stayed at the hotel for 6 nights and they cleaned our room every single day, even if we didn't ask for it! The hotel was quiet at night and comfortable. If you're looking for someplace in Paris where you can see the sights and go someplace and unwind at night, this hotel is perfect. If you want someplace with lots of night life....stay away from this hotel since most places shut down around 7 here. The breakfast is overpriced at 13 euro a person, but so was every hotel breakfast during our stay in France. 詳情

The hotel worked out very well for me. All of the staff were very nice and helpful when asked questions. I did not have the breakfast, so I can't comment. My room was large, well air-conditioned and clean. I was one level up from the lobby facing the street. I'm sensitive to noise but heard none that disturbed me. It's a quiet street. The area has many embassies and government buildings so there was lots of security around. It was quite possible to walk to many busier areas with shops and restaurants. The immediate block had a small grocer which was perfect for buying a cold drink and fresh fruit. There is an internet shop around the corner which is much more affordable than the price for internet in the hotel. (All the hotels I looked at and where my friends have stayed in Paris seemed to charge for internet access.) The Orsay and Rodin museums were in easy walking distance. A friendly staff who were efficient and helpful. Everything was good except the size of the room. I understand that Paris has a lot of hotels with very small rooms and small bathrooms but this one was simply not comfortable to be in if you had a suitcase with you - not enough space.

I went for a short 3-night stay, 4-7 January 2011, with a friend with whom I shared a twin-bed room. Everything was comfortable, attractive, warm, calm, and the service was unobtrusive and efficient. The people at Reception were polite, helpful and informative. We both said that we would very happily stay at the Hôtel de Suède again.

Expedia has this hotel rated as a four star hotel, which it is not, since it is a three star hotel. I guess that those reviews written by clients who are disappointed are expedia's fault, rather than the hotel's, since it is very good for a three star hotel, but very disappointing for a four star hotel, which, I repeat, it is not.

Situated directly between 4 different Metro stops it makes it difficult to decide which walk is quickest. While we loved the location of the hotel, the room was very small and a bit uncomfortable. The bed linens were clean but old and we couldnt really hang out in the hotel or hotel room. However it did have air conditioning which worked well and was great to come back to a cool room. It was decent service but I'm not sure I would recommend staying there […] more than a day or so. Maybe we were spoiled by our other hotels on the trip but there was a charge for everything and you couldnt pay the extra fees with a credit card. It had to be cash. One of the men at the front desk didnt speak much English and seemed a bit put off by some of our questions.
