My initial room was smelly, I asked for a better room and it didn't smell that much better. The carpet was old looking. There was stains on the bed skirt! I like the hotel but the rooms could use some TLC!

Great hotel in a good location. it is south of runways 24/25 so you are not in the landing pattern, no jet noise. They don't have an indoor pool so if you travel with kids who like to swim, go when it's warm. Arrived late from Bangkok, breezed through welcome home(land) security, picked up bags, rental car, grabbed a takeout order from America's finest burger, In N Out all before dragging my jetlagged soma over to the DoubleTree. The place is as advertized. Close and convenient to LAX, welcoming staff who hand you the DTree signature chocolate chip cookies […] - still warn and as wonderful as remembered - along with your room key. Room access card would not work, and had to return to lobby for reset. Went to resturaunt/bar at 10 p.m. for a bite as they said it closes at 11...sat at empty table for 5 minutes and no attendent, waitress, server came out so I left the hotel for fast food... Filled out room service card for breakfast at 7 a.m. and placed outside room door at 11 p.m. […] night prior. opened door at 6:45 a.m. and card still on door....DISAPPOINTING. 詳情

This is a great place to stay in LA....and, the folks that work there are friendly and competent .....it was one of my best hotel experiences...thank you!

This is an excellent hotel in a location that is quiet and peaceful, yet so close to LAX. Very modern and very clean with all the necessary facilities. Free shittle to/from the airport, and free parking.

Overall, the hotel is nice. The room is comfortable and modern with a large flat screen TV. It was quite and I would stay there again.

Not much within walking distance of the hotel, but the front desk was very helpful in giving suggestions of where to go to get a good meal etc.

The Doubletree hotel in El Segundo, near LAX was a disappointment. The room was clean and the hotel encourages guests to go "green" and hang up their towels to use another day. Unfortunately, there were no towel racks. There is also a daily charge per piece of equipment for internet access... I went somewhere else for free WiFi. The restaurant was adequate […] but the waitress was misleading. When ordering a pasta dish, I was asked if I wanted soup or salad. I ordered the soup and when the bill arrived, I learned that the soup was not included but was an additional charge. Made for a very pricey dinner in coffee shop ambiance. This is close to all and very quiet service awesome, clean, comfortable easy access.

The hotel was very nice, but one of my pet peeves is when there is no fan in the bathroom to vent out the steam from your hot shower, or other bathroom duties.

I specifically called before hand to ask the hotel about their airport shuttle and they told me they are only 5 minutes from the airport so just call when I arrive. I waited an hour after my flight got in at 9 pm and three phone calls before anyone showed up. I ask for non-smoking and the room smelled full of smoke throughout the night. I reserved a […] king bed, I got two beds in stead that seemed like twins. It was a horrible start to a night that i was hoping to relax and get ready for my meeting early the next morning. This hotel used to be the standard for me when traveling on business. This stay however, the service was mediocre, my room was "surface cleaned" and smelled smokey/musty, and the internet was $9.95/day and slower than 3G on my AT&T iPhone. The convenience factor is huge as my client is literally next door and the room service food options are nice. […] However, the breakfast buffet is $15.95 and not much more than a continental breakfast... I ended up going to Whole Foods and getting better food for 1/3 the cost. Two weeks prior I stayed at the El Segundo Courtyard by Marriot hotel right down the street from this location and the internet was free, the cafe in the lobby was perfect and very reasonably priced and it was fully renovated in the past year... The problem is Receptionists who are in night shift are not that kind and polite. Thats for sure. Other than that, everything is fine.

Hotel was a nice surprise. We were unsure of the location because we were heading to Manhattan Beach for the weekend. With the cold weather, we ended up in Venice. The hotel was close to Manhattan Beach for the time we spent there. The hotel gym and pool were nice amenities we took advantage of. Overall, the hotel was great for the price.

I travel a lot and expect less than what I typcially expect when it comes to airport hotels. This hotel did not feel at all like an airport hotel and is in a much nicer area than the hotel strip near LAX, yet was only 5 minutes away from the airport. We had arrived very late at LA airport from an overdue flight and were pleased to find the shuttle bus service still operating, with a polite and efficient driver. We reserved our hotel for its location near LAX and were glad it was only a quick freeway jump away. Our GPS took us right where the entrance was, however there was construction and the main entrance was blocked. We ended up driving around the block a couple times until we caught a sign that said doubletree. It wasn't marked well, and and then the parking […] spaces were kinda small, even for our PT Cruiser. Other than that the stay was excellent! We had reserved a crib for our room, and I had called the day before to double check the crib, and they verified everything. However when we got there, the front desk person had to call up for the crib and had no notes about it. The Security guard who brought it up was very friendly and put it together even after we insisted he didn't need to bother. The concierge and security guard's attitudes helped put us at east for our stay. Breakfast isn't free, so that's kind of a bummer, but stay at a motel 6 if you want free food. Hotel is clean with good decor. Very polite and helpful staff. The pool is big with jacuzzi but we did not try it as it was a bit cold outside. Location is very near the airport amongst office blocks with a Ralph's grocery shop and other fast food outlets around the corner. Having said this, Hermosa beach is 10 mins drive away. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality of this hotel as we booked online via iphone and did not know what to expect. We did not fly in, however with free shuttle this hotel is perfect for those flying in from LAX! We were going between Hollywood and Malibu and this was very centrally located. Easy to find. Beautiful interior decor, 2 computers […] in business station, a gym, pool and spa, laundry, restaurant. Domino's and Pizza Hut deliver with ease here! Rooms were very nice! To include iron & ironing board, coffee, blow dryer, fridge, microwave, large flat screen high def tv. Only thing missing was the ocean view we would have loved, but for the price including tax we managed without it! One disappointment however, while flipping through the channels on the tv we managed to run across an unblocked porn channel which was disappointing considering how many families with children were staying here. This hotel is in a top business area, we stayed for a long weekend and the value for the large and clean room with a great pool was exceptional. The location is so convenient to the south bay beaches and the express ways. Really, a great choice for you.

Would not recomend this hotel at all.... I reserved three deluxe doubles which turned out to be full beds... They came knocking on my bedroom door at 1:00am from the front desk saying that they thought the room was vacant.

I have stayed at this hotel many times, and it is always my preference in L.A. It is very nice, centrally located, with easy access to LAX and the beach cities. Far enough from LAX to avoid any plane noise. Always a great night's sleep. Absolutely no complaints!

The hotel room was freezing cold with the AC set too low and we turned on the heat. It never heated and we asked to get it fixed. Was told an engineer would come right up and fix it, but two hours later he still hadnt shown up and at that point we really had to go to bed to catch an early flight. We had an outstanding stay; actually perfect. We stayed in 3 rooms. grandma n grandpa, son and a friend, and my daughter and children. Wonderful staff. Friendly, helpful, and they were obviously happy in their environment. They were helpful and courteous. Used the wi-fi for my Kindle. The kids swam in the pool. We ordered breakfast from room service. […] It came quickly and was delicious. Our trip was a treat for our grandchildren. We drove to Huntington Beach for the day and it was close to the hotel. We will be returning. We have stayed at the Double Tree in Orange for Disneyland trips. El Segundo's staff is just as nice and professional as the Orange Double Tree.
