The hotel is calculative. For example, did not expect need to pay extra charge for use of gym & swimming pool facilities. Internet is more commonly provided free of charge (at least at lobby) by many hotels nowadays, but Nikko still insist extra charge for every service.

Nikko charges the internet access by each device, with the rate $15 more on the daily basis. This rate is really unreasonable. The feather of the dawn quilt comes out leads me allergy.

It's a very clean,comfortable, convenience and good location hotel, I went with my daughter for 10days for summer vacation, I usually stayed in nob hill, but it was not good for eating and shopping, but this hotel is more convenience and quiet.

Access to street difficult. Internet & gym extra. Hallways smell bad.....like wallpaper???? Concierge helpful. Elevators great. Noise from street loud on 7th floor.

I loved everything about this stay; I've never been offered a glass of wine upon check-in. The room was perfect. Gorgeous bathroom!!! I am looking forward to staying there again.

Beautiful renovation, Starbucks inside, friendly staff, clean. Super close to Union Square shopping (we could see Macy's from our window) This is affordable luxury. Will stay here the next time we return to San Francisco for sure.

Our stay started with a very nice man named Michael at the front desk, who helped us upgrade from our original room to a better one at a slightly higher rate. I was very surprised to be treated rudely at check in. The woman who greeted me accused me of cutting the line in front of another guest who had walked past where I was waiting. I told her I was next in line, and then she looked at the other guest and apologized as if she did not believe me. Then she gave me a room that was not as nice as the one that […] I had booked online. We called from the room and asked to be moved to the nicer room we had booked and payed for. They offered to send up a key or we could go down and get it. So my wife goes down to get it and they won't give it to her because she doesn't have my ID. She asks them to bring it up and they never come. We had to call again and finally we got moved to the room we should have been assigned in the first place. They seem to have an attitude about people who book outside their internal booking system. I would not stay there again unless it was for free. The bed was very comfortable. Another annoying thing- they have very few channels and have disabled the ability to plug in your Ipad or other device to the TV in an effort to make you pay for their movies. If you want internet, some water, parking, its all one giant upsell at this place. Unless you are a rich Japanese business person you might want to stay someplace else. Its impossible to find affordable parking anywhere near there but that is Union Square... 詳情

I feel we paid too much for a "regular" hotel room for just a 1 night stay. The service is excellent, but I felt we needed to tip every time an employee did anything for me. It was very nice, but I think next time, I can find a nice hotel more within my budget near Union Square.

The Japanese design of this hotel is interesting and beautiful, with orchids throughout. The rooms are comfortable. The restaurant is pleasant. The indoor pool is spectacular, adequate for adult laps and perfect for children.

Nikko is a pretty typical upscale hotel with a high level of both service and nickel & diming extras. The biggest surprise for me was the size of my "Deluxe King" room which was only $20 or so dollars more than whatver a typical one is. No idea if there's a size difference or not but my "deluxe" did fit the king bed, a desk, and a dresser but no more […] space than is needed to walk through. A regular traveler for business, I bring a yoga mat to get in some practice in the morning but wasn't able to find a suitable space to practice. That's saying something. I haven't seen them, but based on the floor and door layout I'm guessing that the suites are pretty spacious. 詳情

We had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Nikko last weekend. It was simply fantastic, from the moment we arrived we asked for availability of an early check in. The front desk was very accommodating and professional, from that moment on our 5 day stay was perfect. Our room was very comfortable with every amenity, the house cleaning service was a […] dream. I think that if a family (3 rooms)books and requests to be next to each other,it should be considered,also to give a full size bed to one of the rooms,where my daughter and her husband could not sleep on that tiny bed and nobidy could help

Hotel is in a good location - very close to Union Square, the cable car route on Powell, shopping and restaurants. The drawback for me was that the hotel did not offer free wifi in the rooms or the lobby (however free wifi is available around Union Square and at Macy's so it didn't matter too much) and they did not have a minibar in the room. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel was at a good location very near Union Square. The public areas of the hotel were very beautiful. The hotel and room had a very modern feel. The towels were thick. However, the desk chair seat springs were starting to break down a little and there was no additional reading chair in the room. The […] one challenge I would note is that this was a conference hotel for a very large conference. For this reason, I was paying peak rates, which meant that the room was significantly overpriced for what it was. Travelers should note that parking in the area is very expensive. I was very happy with the hotel valet parking, but be sure to check the price in advance so that it is not a surprise. Bottom line - I did like this hotel and would stay here again, but book ahead and check the prices in the area. 詳情
