"Greenville Marriott needs some TLC"

I guess for Greenville SC this was a very nice hotel, but for a Marriott property I expected a little more. The halls smelled of OLD mildew and it crept into the rooms a little. The bed was super hard. But the double shower head was very nice.

We wanted to stay downtown but those hotels didn't have a pool or hot tub. We were very pleased with this hotel. Rooms were clean and nice. Breakfast was included and was outstanding, well worth it. The only negative was we had a room that overlooked the hotel foyer area. Would have been nice to have some kind of view even if it was just the woods.

This hotel was clean and the staff very friendly. The pool area was nice. The breakfast buffet was very good with a made-to-order omelet station and a nice variety. "Marriott vs Hyatt Place"

I will say this stay at Marriott Greenville confirmed my decision to go with Hyatt Place hotels over Marriott for all my future travels. This hotel needs rooms updated, they were musky smelling as well. This is not what I expect from Marriott. You want a better value, Hyatt Place. Cleaner, nicer, updated rooms, free internet, great free breakfast, (Marriott […] charges extra) small bar and food menus, relaxing atmosphere and about $80.00 a night less than Marriott. "great room but noisy neighbors"

The room was great and very polite/helpful emlployees but the neighbors had very noisy kids who spent the majority of the morning and early evening yelling in the halls, knocking on doors and opening/slamming their own rm door, which happended to be next to mine.

"Very nice and quiet."

I generally like quiet elegant hotel. I don't use the hotel restaurants and facilities. For what I like.. this was a very nice place to stay for a few days. It was also conveniently located to expressways and outside amenities. Very nice place.
