The elder officer in the front desk was not helpful, not nice. But the other younger one call Charles is very good & friendly. Will consider this hotel again next time.

"This Felt Like Being in Hawaii"
We had a second floor King room overlooking the pool. We were in Redding for the sun and heat. This room on the "Hilltop" wing was perfect. The grounds are nicely landscaped and sitting on the small balcony off our room was like being in Hawaii. "No service"
My family and I recently stayed for the weekend. Room was standard. View of the parking lot. Shower head was old and not properly working. We left our jackets hanging in the closet, and realized in the evening of the same day we checked out. That was Sunday. Went back, and no one was able to help us. No manager on duty. They said housekeepers don't […] speak English. Called back at 10pm, to speak to a manager, and was told that they didn't have access to Lost and Found. The place has been redecorated, but there are still a few things needing replacement. We were unable to plug in our phone chargers and laptop to any outlets because they were all so worn out that the plugs would not stay in. All around the room, the outlets were all loose.Hotels.com 旅客真實的評價

We do not have a date as to when we will upgrade to flat screen televisions yet, but it is in the works. Although I was not present during your check in, I would like to share the fact that we use Verizon flip phones as our communication radios between departments. It may have been an inter communication call you witnessed during check in. Thank you for pointing this out though, because if it appears to our guests that staff are taking personal calls this is not a great impression. Thank you again for your response. "right on the river!"
We love the uniqueness of this property. The location can't be beat and the attention to detail in the architecture is second to none. This is "old Northwest" style at its best. "Second visit, hair in tub both times"
The hotel is not kept up. The cleaning staff does not get the rooms clean. This is the second visit in two years time. Both visits we found hair in the shower/tub. This current trip the door was missing the peep hole viewer, it just had an open hole where the viewer should have been. Very disturbing. I have spoken to the Engineering Department so the issue with the peep hole can be fixed for you, as well as future guests. "Old but reliable"
The Red Lion at the Quay has been there for a long time. I remember it when I was a youth. Despite the age it has been well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. "Older Property with Old Fashioned Service"
This is an older property that I have been staying at over the past twenty years when I'm in Vancouver on business. Though it is older and has many outdated amenities, I keep going back. First room had a broken aircontrol unit. However they did change us to another room when maintenace failed to fix it. That aircontrol unit was stuck at 85 but it was better than being cold so we stuck with it. It was only for one night.Hotels.com 旅客真實的評價

"Surly staff but a fine place to lay your head"
All we wanted from this hotel was a place to lay our heads during a whirlwind trip to Portland. The hotel itself was fine. Just what you would expect. The housekeeping staff was friendly enough. It was the front desk where everything fell down. We weren't greeted so much as tolerated and then the clerk started bickering with her (much more helpful) […] co-worker. We were glad to get out and on our way. The next morning on checkout, I would have loved to have been advised by the (otherwise innocuous) front desk clerk that there was a marathon blocking all exits to the parking lot and I may as well take a walk on the waterfront. "Beautiful location, run down hotel"
While the location of the hotel was pristine, the condition was not. We constantly had to request a new key card as our lock would not open. This proved to be a big hassle as we were traveling with our dogs and needed to let them out to potty. The maid service was sparce. When they did clean it was our bathroom only. "Weekend getaway"
The location has its positives and negatives----it is a major crossroad for almost every transportation one could think of----planes,trains,boats,cars on bridge. But some,especially kids would love this business. And it really is not that noisy inside the hotel. The room was ok but was very small this stay. We come here every year for the Wine and Jazz […] Festival. We can walk the 4 blocks to the Festival and not worry about parking or driving after drinking wine all day. The hotel also has a bar and restaurant on the property and a pool. I believe this hotel is pet friendly.The service help is courteous and helpful, no matter the time of day or night. Gotta be honest... not a great visit. We have stayed here before and it was wonderful. On this occasion it was a mess. The clerk at the desk was incredibly rude. Even when she was giving people good news she seemed as though she was yelling at them. The place was packed due to a convention next door so we couldnt find parking for about 20 minutes. The […] worst part was the next morning the whole place wreeked (overwhelmingly) of manure. It didnt smell outside so there was absolutely something wrong. If we had planned on staying another night I would have checked out immediately anyway. Was originally booked into a room facing rail tracks. Immediately requested to be moved and was promptly provided a room facing the pool and the river at the same price. "Enjoyable stay"
