The owners are hands-on & very nice. Charming place. Very Clean. Now the bad part... From the street entry, it is at least 150 feet vertical climb up several flights of corkscrewing steep steps to the lobby. If you have any luggage or health issues you are in trouble. We had the room with the shared bathroom. No big deal except you also share the bathroom […] with the lobby & patio guests- not much fun. The hallway outside the rooms magnify any small sound. They rescently remodeled. Our bedroom & the bathroom have multiple electrical issues; outlets do not work, outlets with attached extensions overused, exposed wiring in the bathroom. Cable was out. I really hope they resolve the issues & hope they succeed. 詳情

Very convoluted way to front desk - the taxi driver actually asked if I had been there before as I would need directions to get to the reception. There were 7 different flights of stairs, so not ideal if you have lots of heavy luggage. The rooms are dated, and wall mounted a/c unit was very noisy, as was the ceiling fan. The door lock was loose, so […] rattled when the wind blew from a different direction. The bathroom was surprisingly large, and looked recently renovated, which made up somewhat for the tired furnishings and bedlinen. I thought it was definitely overpriced for the area, and was not impressed. I would not choose to stay here again - the Windward Passage Hotel was fully booked at the time, or I would have stayed there for a similar rate. 詳情

We really enjoyed Heather, she is a delight! What an added surprise...A wonderful restaurant and wine bar is located right next to the Galleon House...try it!!! One comment, Coffee/breakfast should start at 7:30am due to the ferry schedule to the other islands. Fantastic bed and breakfast. Owners greeted us on arrival. Breakfast with other guests with a view of the city! And a half of block from shopping! We definately will be back!

The bed sheets were dirty, and the room had mosquitoes. The hotel did not have an operator to take your call requesting for a cleaner room. I went to the reception, and there was no one there. Very poor service.

Nice management. Convenient location. Quiet. Small adequate room. We were using it as a stop off after and before flights and ferry. Good location to catch St John Ferry and do any down town Charlotte Amalie shopping.

The Galleon House is a great B&B that looks out over the harbor of St Thomas USVI. The climb up the many stairs from the street is not for the infirm but the great service and friendly atmosphere are worth the climb.

We enjoyed our stay, particularly the freshly cooked breakfast each morning, beautiful views, flowers blooming all around, and a location near town that enabled us to walk to restaurants and shops.

This is a great place for a short stay if you want something central and not expensive. The staff was friendly and the included breakfast was nice. The first room we had was good with a view, but the second had no windows and wasn't so cozy.

The hotel staff were awesome! Very helpful and nice. My phone didn't work and they replaced it asap and carried my 30 lb bags for me :). Great free breakfast as well. Quiet location

We had a terrible experience at this hotel. Old and creaky mattress and bed. No window in the room. Torn and worn carpets, but clean. No mention of being at the top of a hill with no elevators or assistance. Only steps on the hill. Had to walk up over 90 uneven steps with luggage. Nice pool. Lights went out. Part of rolling blackouts, but nothing provided […] in the way of light by the hotel, which should be prepared for such instances. Lights out around 9pm for approximately 45 minutes. Thank goodness we had a small flashlight. Won't stay here again. 詳情

three of us stayed one night dec 27 2011.nothing fancy but a very charming B&B. Rooms are nice, clean and some have great views of the city and harbor. The owners are a very sweet couple who do their very best to make your stay comfortable. they offer wireless internet for a fee but its not very good and drops connection. location is very safe and central […] but note that after 5 pm all the shops and many restaurants close. if you are looking for a reasonably priced place to sleep in this is perfect. 詳情

This was a one night stay whilst my boat was being launched and fitted the bill. Basic accommodation was fine, Run by a very engaging couple who served a great breakfast. Would use again.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Galleon House and have made a future reservation in February. The new owners are delightful and willing to please. This is not the Marriott, but you are not paying Marriott prices. There are many steps to climb, so not very convenient if you have a lot of luggage. Very nice complimentary breakfast. I was very disappointed because the two nights that i stayed there the Television was not working the entire time, needless to say i stayed in the room without that type of entertainment.

Very good overall beds need to replaced. The restaurant next door is incredible with and fairly priced. With incredible service and incredible food.

I chose Galleon House for its central location in St. Thomas for a day of business travel. Close to the airport (though Main St. traffic in St. Thomas at rush hour is quite congested), and close to a St. John Ferry stop - its location has a lot to offer. Two caveats - lots of stairs, so not good if you have a lot of luggage or have trouble manuevering […] older and steep stone stairs. Redeeming quality that I found was its proximity to Chez Le Caribe, a charming high end restaurant with a great waitstaff and excellent wine selections and an unparalleled view of the island. I stayed in an interior room with a private bath, which was clean and spacious for my needs. However, I found the space to be a bit musty and there were a few mosquitoes (I'm very allergic!) in the room. The air conditioner was a trooper, but couldn't cut it against in the mid-October heat/humidity. Friendly staff, missed the breakfast though because of schedule change (it was why I chose Galleon in the first place!). Good for a one night stay or an exploratory few days for a vacation. Excellent family run hotel . in excellent loaction. breakfast was amazing. excellent views . basic room facilities but served our needs . with some tlc to the rooms the hotel would be even better,

I had some trouble finding the place, but once there really enjoyed my stay in the queen harbor view room with balcony. Owner-Manager Sandy is very helpful and pleasant. He also cooks an excellent breakfast. The B&B itself is on the primitive side, but then again so is the rest of St Thomas, so this place fits right in. Shorts and flip flops or sneaks […] are the uniform of the day. Suggestion - after 5 pm parking spaces open up on the west end of Kongen Gade - to get there turn inland off the waterfront drive at Emancipation Park, go one block and turn left, banana yellow Post Office bldg will be on your left, after passing take an IMMEDIATE HARD RIGHT up an impossibly steep hill. Park your rental car there for check-in, and you won't end up wandering aimlessly through the hills like I did! 詳情

my husband and I needed a place to stay after we did a sailing excursion to tide us over until our plane took off the next day. The Galleon B & B was in town and convenient to Main St. shopping. It is a quaint location. Includes breakfast which was very good the 3 days we stayed. Sandy was very helpful. We got an upgraded room and his suggestion of the Hook Line & Sinker Restraunt for dinner hit the spot. Rooms were clean and the resident turtle Zoom and cat Annie helped make […] it feel like home. If you are going to St. Thomas spend the money and stay in a known hotel chain on the beach. The people who run this bed and breakfast were very rude, there are about 20 flights of stairs that you have to carry your luggage up. Had a wonderful time! read the concerns about the steps, but Charlotte Amalie was initially a city of steps - the location needs to be above street level for several reasons in my opinion which makes this location a wonderful place to stay - only two blocks from the Waterfront, one block from the post office and a major jewerly shopping area (Main street) […] with some very good deals during my trip - The Gallion House has a great atmosphere with the room being quiet and sufficient for my needs. I needed to crash for one night in transit and this is a nice hotel that did the trick. It is close to downtown, close enough to the yacht club / port and a great deal for the price. The room was simple and clean and the upgrade to the bay-view room was nice. Breakfast was a nice touch.

Downtown Convenience This is a small B&B in the hilly and historical area of down town Charlotte Amalie. It doesn’t have an elevator so it is not adequate for handicapped people. There are plenty of stairs so you will get a good exercise every day. The convenient location allows moving around St. Thomas easily by using the various ways of transportation […] used by locals. Within the complex there are two restaurants both of them providing a gourmet experience. The personnel are very friendly and if you ask them for help and information they will provide it without hesitation along with useful tips how to get around. Breakfast is healthy and plentiful, so you can enjoy your day tour without feeling hungry! Due to difficulties in Miami we lost our connecting flights and we arrived one day late and they accepted the fact without an extra charge for the lost reservation. Our stay at Galleon was ok. It was just for 1 night, as a stop over before catching the ferry to Tortola. I don't think I would want to stay there for a week. It's definately worth staying at The Galleon House in St. Thomas. The water tastes good and is clear and clean. The pool area is lovely - part with shade and part with fun sun. Sandy is a terrific host and provided us with bedrooms overlooking the harbour. There are a lot of steps to climb but that gets you in shape for the short walk to nearby shopping. […] You don't need a taxi to get around from The Galleon House. The room was cleaned everyday and fresh towels were provided daily. We have stayed at the expensive resorts and did not get fresh towels more then 3 times each week. What a geat place to stay! Not only is it reasonably priced, the staff there is extremely friendly and accomodating. The continental breakfast was wonderful. It's not your typical breakfast, they actually give you a menu and cook what you want off of it! It has a great location close to downtown and the airport. The views are fantastic.

This Inn served its purpose well. I was in transit from Charlotte Amalie to Tortola. I got in late which they accomodated. The place was clean and I would have stayed longer. It's a very convenient location to the downtown and Blackbeard's Castle.

Room was clean and in good repair. A 2 star room but with excellent service and location. Easy walking to shopping and ferry dock. Breakfast was great too. We used this as a stop-over getting between the US and the BVI.

The Galleon House was an awesome bed and breakfast. It is a quaint place in the middle of Charlotte Amelia which is the historical district in St. Thomas. This was the most economical hotel we found online for a one night stay. It was very nice...reminded me of a european hostel. Hot breakfast was included the next morning. Staff and owners were delightful and very accomodating to us. As we found true throughout Charlotte Amalie, be prepared to walk up MANY steps...

do to bad weather in Miami we missed a connection to St.Thomas. The hotel refused a refund . The bottom line is I would never book a room there again and i will be sure that everybody in my email list and facebook page never do either

Can't find parking certain hours of the day; driving around just to check in ended up in not so recommendable area. Ended up eating cost and staying at Frenchman's Marriott for the night.

This is a hidden treasure. Not in the greatest neighborhood, but it is close to everything you could imagine. Lots of stairs, so if you cannot do stairs, do not even think about staying here. If you want quiet and a great view at a reasonable cost, this is for you. Wonderful breakfast too.
