2 nights, very noisy, glass wall did not block any street sounds, kept looking to see if a window was open. A couple broken items in the room nothing major and visible dust. Not what I am used to at Marriott properties. Staff was wonderful, service in restaurant was bad but in fairness, they were terribly understaffed for the crowd they had.

Unfortunately there were a lot of students staying at the hotel for an engineering convention with USC. The walls are paper thin, and if you have a room that has a door that would open you hear everything. You could even hear the traffic on the street on the 6th floor.

Guest services was very helpful and friendly. Resturant service somewhat slow. Room had wear on furniture and coffee pot worn. Overall I would stay again on my next trip. Walls were touched up paint showing different shading.

Really enjoyed the comfort of the bed and pillows. Loved the fast check in and check out. Very clean.

Great location to the coliseum but meet a bus from the hotel to take and pick us up from the concert. Staff friendly and helpful.

This is a perfect location for a Carolina game. We had an amazing view out of our window - down to Assembly but out over the horizon.........a beautiful view of the sunset

Sadly all of these good features were overshadowed by the noise. Even though we were on the 9th floor it was facing the street. We got back from the football game around 11:30 and went to bed at 12:30. We tried getting to sleep but between the motorcycles, the fire engines, the police sirens and the topper trains going through after 1 AM. My experience was not overwhelmingly a great one. The parking would have been a great issue had not driven my larger SUV (Tahoe). At check-in I was greeted very professionally and made it to my room, which was nice. Check out was another story. Will (front desk associate) did not acknowledge me for a very long time standing at the desk. too engaged […] (very playful) with a female. Took it upon himself to add garage charge to my credit card, when I expressed at check in that I would be paying cash. While undoing the credit card charge for the garage, customer walked up with a bottle of cola and a 20 dollar bill, he proceeded to stop with my check out to accept payment and make change for that person. Not professional at all! I was at the desk little before 7:30 am so that I might make my way to a conference which began at 8:00am. He held me up! 詳情

Front desk very nice and helpful, lobby nice and inviting. Rooms a bit "tired", furniture scuffed up, walls a bit dirty and furniture worn. My parents room had a King size bed and a small couch in it. The couch looked dirty and had holes in both seats. The desk chair had some "mystery" spots on seat. Bathroom was clean, so were the linens and the bed […] was very comfortable. Pool could use some new chairs, faded and some were ripped. My Television did not pick up the channels that I wanted to watch, the NBA Finals,. The maintenence crew did come in to try to fix it but could not get it to work. Channels were ABC and FOX

Overall a great stay. The location is very convenient to both the USC campus and many dining options. There is a nice breakfast buffet on site, and one morning omelets to order were available, as well. The staff was very helpful and attentive.

Good location....nice restaurants nearby...hotel reception very friendly when we arrived on Thursday May 17 th.Beds very comfortable. However, The bar very expensive so beware! Paid $25 for 2 large drinks!! Would stop again.

The coursey van and drivers were the best part of all. They picked us up and took us back to the airport and wer very personable. The room's bathroom was too crowded (703) but otherwise very acceptable.

Great location to USC however.....highway traffic noise all night, as well as freight train noise. We stayed there to 'rest up' for our 11 hour drive the next day, and did not get the sleep/rest we needed due to the outside noise.

My family misses the days of a continental breakfast without having to add another $10 plus on to eat in the morning. The temperature control in the room was unusable, would not move off of 72 degrees - which for those who like it colder at night is not very enjoyable. We had to talk with the front desk regarding the lock on the door, seems there […] is a "trick" to being able to undo the deadlock, more time wasted running between the front desk and the door. For the price that was paid, I would assume it would more than cover a locksmith to correct the problem for future guests. 詳情

I visit Columbia 6 times a year and prefer to be near Koger Performing Arts Center area. This hotel has one of the best locations. The surroundings within a couple of blocks is a bit seedy, yet there are lots of students around because it is on the edge of campus near the music building, the health center and the School of Medicine etc. There are good […] restaurants within 10 minutes walk as is the capital bldg, and banking but almost no retail. The rooms are decently outfitted, beds are fine, linens clean. The overall feel is a bit battered. The free wireless works fine. The price can be competitive for the area but forget it on USC home football weekends when prices nearly triple. The 2 things that have bothered me on more than one stay are: the in-wall air con units are noisy and drafty, like a motor inn and they cycle all night unless you turn it off which you won't in the summer - and you don't get house keeping service if you stay over more than one night without asking for it. I left the room at 10am each morning and got service twice by request. They said they are not a full service hotel when I asked at the desk but nothing on the internet mentioned that. And the breakfast is pathetic which is typical in US mid-level hotels. Don't pay for breakfst with the room. Ask to have it comped or go out. My recommendation then? YES for location and general comfort and functionality - NO if you're bothered by details or want to be pampered or prefer high levels of service. (The staff is friendly and amenable though). Dirty bedspread, sour towels, dusty furniture, handprints on head board "that's right hand prints", vents covered in a thick dust and the breakfast is not free but you can purchase a package. I did however attend a concert at colonial life center and it was a great walking distance. I will never go back to this hotel. I already complained to the hotel […] and they said they could not adjust my bill because we booked thru a 3rd party "hotels.com". That's ok lesson learned. Hotel is conveniently located next to the USC campus. It resides on a major street. Street noise and trains kept you up most of the night.

It was definitely a nice hotel, but just FYI...if you book a room with breakfast included, like we did...you have to ask them each morning for breakfast coupons. We booked so far in advance and almost ended up paying for our breakfast. Don't fall for this! Their breakfast is pretty good, though. :)

Hotel was excellent - just be careful of parking facilities - very small and not adequate for number of rooms. We saw someone hit another car - couldn't be avoided given the size of the parking spaces and VERY limited area between spaces!

Room was perfect for my needs. The only things to remember, the hotel is in the Center of the city - so you are going to hear the city. That said, I was in town to take the Bar exam & was fully able to study & sleep with the noise. You can hear the train, too, but it's generally off in the distance. The other thing is the neighborhood. Again, it's downtown […] Columbia so there's a ton of stuff around you - including some rough looking character's occassionally. You never felt unsafe - in fact I was comfortable leaving expensive items in my car overnight. One guest left a laptop on their hood for at least several hours until I notified the front desk it had been there for at least 2 hours. Overall, it was a great, comfortable, clean, updated hotel that was in a solid, convenient location. I would definitely stay there if I were heading to Columbia again soon. 詳情
